Jeff was amazing and personable and so informative and supportive! If you’re looking for a for-sure great and positive experience look for the pirate out front and the awesome owner of The Hot Shop! We came with 3 couples and had a blast, and each of us made a piece of glass to take home ourselves the next day. Jeff was supportive and showed us that every movement and mistake was an advancement of the art we were creating and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you Jeff!

Amazing, my niece picked this out for her vacation activity and we were all blown away! Jeff was so patient and informative about the history and process of glass making. All 4 of us did different items with different processes. Jeff walked onus through it all we ease. Must do if in Newport area!

Wow, what an awesome experience. Jeff may be the most laid back guy I have ever met, but it is obvious he has a vast understanding of glowblowing and that he really enjoys it. I did a 2 hour class with my wife and parents and Jeff allowed for plenty of hands on making our globe and bowl. I highly reccomend him for first timers or veterans.

The Hot Shop is a fantastic studio and great place to create your own piece of art! Highly recommended, and I'll be visiting there when I visit the Oregon coast again. Worth the drive from Portland. I visited the Hot Shop on my trip to the Oregon Coast. We stopped by this charming studio, and asked if they offered classes. As Jeff finished up his current piece, he said that I could blow my own glass float within 5 minutes. While we waited, we watched him finish up the current piece, and he told us how he was shaping the purple glass and how it would affect the final piece. When he was ready, he explained that I would be doing most of the work myself. I would get to spin the hot glass in the kiln; I would get to dip the hot glass in the colored glass pieces; I would be twisting the glass globe actively to make it awesome. I performed most of the shaping and coloring as we went along. Jeff was extremely helpful and patient, which was great, since I had never made a glass piece ever! The experience was amazing! I was able to make my own piece of Oregon Coast art, and I will certainly be trying some glass art in the future. Jeff was a fantastic instructor, welcomed me and my family into the studio, and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you make your own special glass float! Well done, Jeff!

Great place. Wonderful demonstrations. The owners response to address customer questions here on maps in a timely manner is a good example of the type of Customer Service and care this business has for there customers. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
Yes I have and watching the art being created first hand is Awesome, your right? It's definitely something worth stopping in to see. There's many other fun things to see around the shop as well so it's an Awesome time any way you look at it.
We were able to make an appointment at The Hot Shop where we built a small orb with assistance and guidance. Lots of fun and very interesting.
