Beautiful park along the lower Sandy River. Plenty of trails to explore. Family picnics, reunions, perfect spot. Fishing just across the road with a boat launch. Free to park. Enjoy this river in the Columbia Gorge historical scenic route. Well worth the price of gas

Very peaceful with some shaded area too! The section we were at wasn't crowded but was rocky/pebbley. Not sure if other areas were more sandy.

Nice place to come and swim, beat the heat, and relax. There is shade in the morning on the east side of the river. You can swim in the river but beware of the current. It's not very strong in the summer, but something to keep in mind. Lots of people come here for a picnic on the weekends, so arrive early (10?) to get a decent spot.

Never hiked at Lewis and Clark, usually only river access for swimming & rafting, there is a very nice park as well
No there is not any overnight camping here.
No, it has trails leading up into the cliffs on both sides, lots of picnic tables and grills and an off leash area for pet exercising. Right across the street is a boat launch and literally the Sandy River.
I think they close the gate around 9 or 10 pm? Definitely open during the daytime
I'm not sure, I only went swimming there. Hope you find someone to help. Good Luck
As long as you're not digging a big hole in the ground I believe you can get away with it and don't burn any tree's down either!!!
