They have food you can't get in other stores like Olympia provisions. Also I am glad they support BLM and LGBTQ with flags hung in the store. I love doing pickup orders here so I don't have to shop.

It's pricey, but the quality is high. The produce, especially the citrus and mushrooms, are always fresh. The meat and fish counters are kept very clean. It's a good spot for picking up specialty items like baking spices, cheeses, and vegan products. Good selection of dairy substitutes, too. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

This review is for the deli/catering department. I live in Seattle and was coordinating a meal train for some friends in the area whose dad passed away. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but I didn't want to do an Instacart order because I needed to make sure what I was planning would be in stock. We were only feeding 5 adults and a few kids so I wanted to be thoughtful on portions. Sometimes when you say catering, things can get out of hand cost wise, but I was very lucky to get Anthony, the deli manager on my first call, and he was FANTASTIC to work with. A great listener, thoughtful in giving meal suggestions, so easy to work with. We put together a lovely menu of chicken, salad, fruit and some sides, a dessert and even a bottle of wine for my friends to pick up at a convenient time for them. I was able to buy a GC online for the very reasonable amount and send that to my friends when they checked out. It was all SO EASY! I am very thankful to have gotten such great service and the pleasure of working with a very nice person. Thank you, Anthony!

I love this store. The selection is great, the prices are decent and I can always find something new and interesting. I love the butcher counter, I know I am getting quality and they are always happy to offer help, suggestions, recipes. Same with the deli and cheese counters. I think what I like most is the staff. They are unfailingly pleasant. I know they are dealing with some difficult times (I have seen them get yelled at!), and yet they are always professional. Sometimes funny, always nice. That is what keeps me coming back.

New Seasons carries smoked salmon. They are a little more costly, but that's because all packaging and fresh options tell you the source of the products. If you're interested in sustainable or safe to eat products, I've had great experiences at New Seasons.

New Seasons has a good variety, as does Whole Foods, Chuck's and Trader Joe's. Some are obvious, some need hunting out, perhaps with the aid of a staff person. All the places I mentioned have well labeled products. New Seasons and Chucks focus on locally produced.
