My husband and I waited more than the 20 minutes that they anticipated for a party of two, only to then watch two parties of 3 be seated ahead of us. When I asked why they went ahead, the hostess said it optimized seating. Not a good way of doing business. We left and won't be back.

The venue can be very popular and is fairly small, making for a lively and potentially loud atmosphere. The food and service (especially from the sushi bar and most wait staff) is excellent. Prices are on the cheaper side and reflect portions that are a little smaller than some places. This is great, as it allows more room (both in your stomach and wallet) for variety.

Friendly and accommodating service here. No wait to be seated. Knowledgeable staff, adjusted plating to our liking. Many vegetarian options which was nice when vegetarian often feel excluded from enjoying sushi. I would highly recommend the seaweed or cucumber salad starters.

Best Sushi you can find! Picture perfect and taste to perfection! A true hidden gem in Hood River, locals visit because they know what’s best and you will not be disappointed. Not to mention, Gandolf the leopard gecko is relaxed but happy to greet you! We cannot wait to visit again, thank you!
