We saw water dripping from our ceiling in the kitchen and was concerned regarding who to trust because we felt this looks like a big job and of course big cost as well. We are so glad we went with Mr. Rooter because they not only worked hard and spent a lot of time to evaluate and appropriately narrow down and diagnosed the right cause of water leak but they also helped me with process with filing claim with our insurance. They are very thorough and professional. Corin, Paul, Eric and Robert were amazing. They didn’t stop until our plumbing problems which were multiple repaired and resolved. The long and short of it is, no. Chemical drain cleaners tend to be highly toxic and come with various warning labels. They can also be dangerous to have in a household with pets and children who might get into the bottle. The chemicals can also damage your pipes. Just as they dissolve your clogs, they can dissolve the inside of your plumbing. There are alternatives to chemical drain cleaners, such as enzymes and bacteria that will eat the biological material blocking your drains. If you need immediate help clearing a clog or cleaning your drains, give us a call!
If your toilet keeps running, it’s usually a problem with the flapper not closing or sealing around the flush valve. If jiggling the handle a little doesn’t fix the issue, it could be that the flapper has worn out and needs to be replaced.
