The parking is very small for the popularity of the park. The boat launch is not as good as cook park it's small and crowded and with a steep ramp. It would be much better if they could add an easy kayak launch there, especially since Alder Creek kayak rental is there.

Brown’s Ferry Park is a true gem in Tualatin’s amazing Parks and Recreation system. It offers direct access to the Tualatin River via its canoe ramp and dock. There are also multiple trails that wind through the area and follow alongside the river and pass by ponds. And it connects to the Tualatin River Greenway Trail. There are plenty of great wildlife viewing areas and park benches to sit back and enjoy the peace, quiet, and beauty! And it’s especially beautiful in the Fall.

This easy, accessible spot is where I regularly launch for a quiet SUP session. At times, the river is so still, it is a perfect mirror of the lush vegetation on either side of the river. I have had it all to myself on a number of occasions. It's lovely for a break from urban life. I love to float by and watch blue belted kingfishers swooping for their next meal. There are many sunken trees, some only partially submerged, to navigate. For long trips, consult WaterReporter first, which contains up-to-date information on reported log jams.

Lovely area for stand up paddling. Overall, this area of the Tualatin Water Trail was tranquil and calm with beautiful scenery, as well as a variety of wildlife. There were some shallow areas where we had to carry our paddle boards upstream a short distance. Be cautious of rocks and branches as well. Brown’s Ferry has a ramp down to a dock water entry. It can be a bit busy in the launch areas, but no motorized craft. Also, for those who don’t have their own equipment, Alder Creek provides kayak or paddleboard rentals.

I think you can fish right there off the dock. Haven't seen any signs that say otherwise.
