I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since I adopted my Gemma. Pets and Pals were great to work with and I was really impressed by how clean the shelter was and the caring staff. The man who brought Gemma to meet me was so good with her and answered all my questions. I think they do a great job with their application process. Not all home situations are good fits for every dog and they show a lot of care in making sure a pet doesn’t end up in a situation where it will end up back to be rehomed. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my girl before we met. She’s loved beyond measure.

Super clean facility that takes proper placement of pets very seriously. I've adopted 2 dogs and 1 cat from them. Highly recommend!

Pets & Pals Animal Shelter was wonderful to work with. We applied for our puppy online and they called us right away. They contacted our vet to verify our pet care history before scheduling a visit with us. We were able to schedule a visit for the following day. When we visited, we met our puppy in the outside in the greeting area. Everyone was socially distanced and following COVID protocols. The facility was clean and the dogs had lots of open space in which to play Our puppy was not yet ready to go home because he still needed to be neutered. We returned the following week to pick him up. When we picked him up, Pets and Pals provided us with his medical records as well as a large bag of puppy food, a set of poop bags, a few toys, and a blanket to help him feel comfortable in his new home. I highly recommend Pets & Pals Animal Shelter.

Our son's and I visited the Pets & Pals Animal Shelter on Thursday 1/ 30/2020 to preview and meet George. George is a 10-11 month old German Shepherd and Labrador mix. Upon arrival, we were amazed at the cleanliness of the entire shelter area and very impressed with the kennel sizes and the designated play area's for the dogs to enjoy time with their pawed shelter mates. The entire staff was top notch and friendly too. We returned yesterday, Saturday 2/1/2020 with my wife. This would be her first introduction to our perspective addition to our family and home. Needless to say, my wife and George bonded quite quickly. We were previously approved for adoption due to our adoption application being submitted earlier in the week. The adoption process moved along quickly and we were soon on our way back to Livermore with our new doggie! We call him Maverick and he eagerly responds to the name. Day 1, night 1 and day 2 have been wonderful. He's acclimating quite quickly and we are so happy that he rescued us! I recommend Pets & Pals Animal Shelter with the highest of marks. John (I hope that I have his name correct) assisted us on both visits and it was enjoyable to hold "dog talk" with him. Please, if you're considering a pet, please visit the wonderful staff at Pet & Pals Animal Shelter.

We are missing our dog. Toy poodle. Hes old.
I want them please
This is a no kill shelter. I brought my kittens there and they found all of them a home.
We hire 18 and older. We currently do not have an opening, but when we do get them, we post on Indeed.com. Thanks for asking!
Since we are a private shelter, we can only take stray animals after you report it to the city shelter in which you live. We are unable to take stray animals from Manteca until after they give you the O.K. We are able to scan for microchips if you are close to our area.
Probably covid. They're very good.
Hi Christie! If you have any questions about re-homing pets please give us a call at 209-982-5073. We are available 10:30am-5:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
No, we only adopt cats and dogs. If you go to Petfinder.com you may find a place that adopts them or try Petsmart or Petco if you want to purchase one.
Hi Sondra, we don't take feral cats here, but if you search for feral cat rescues, you may get the help you are looking for. Good luck!
No, that would be done through Animal Services in the city you live in.
Please refer to our website, www.petsnpals.org for information. Thanks.
You would need to contact the shelter for a bit more information. We are at (209) 982-5073 Tuesday - Saturday from 10 to 4
We can't have volunteers on site, but we are in the process of changing things up. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages down the road! Thanks.
Not currently. Our website is kept up to date if you check often.
Currently no, but keep an eye on our website as we get many different dogs in on a regular basis. Thanks for asking!
If you call us, we can get the kitten posted for adoption on Petfinder.com if that would help. We open at 10. 982-5073.
Dallas was already adopted. In the future, the best place to start is at our website, www.petsnpals.org and click the adoption application for the pet you are interested in. That way we know you want a pet. We don't always see the google questions right away. Thanks!
Call facility
Please feel free to call and speak to us during out business hours, Tuesday-Saturday from 10 to 5 for assistance. (209) 982-5073. Thanks!

If you go to www.petfinder.com, you may be able to find a bunny rescue and give one a good home rather than to buy one. If not, you can find them at pet stores sometimes.
We get a variety of dogs all the time. The best way to keep up on what have on a daily basis is to go to www.petsnpals.org. Our website is kept very current. Thanks! We do not have Cocker Spaniels as of the date of this post. If you are looking only for that breed, try Petfinder.com and do a search for the breed there. Good luck.

Hi Luis. I realize this is an old question and I hope you were able to help your friend, but just in case others are reading these questions, we need people to reach out to us by phone (209) 982-5073 or through our website, www.petsnpals.org to be able to assist with re-homing pets. We are a no-kill shelter and fill up quickly, so it is best to contact us directly.
Hi Russell, all our adoption fees are posted on our website, www.petsnpals.org. Feel free to check it out.
Not anywhere near Lathrop & just got a rescue dog..sorry
Not sure if they are yours but adoption fee is 250
The only puppies i saw were white and not chihuaua
They're particular about what they take. But if your puppy isn't people or dog aggressive, there's a good chance they will.
Unfortunately our liability insurance does not allow volunteers, but we have a great staff to care for all of our pets. Thanks for asking!
Please call our business line Tuesday - Saturday from 10 to 5 at (209) 982-5073 to check for availability. We have very limited space for cats.
It is a non profit, no kill adoption center.
