The marina is quaint and charming. We were able to pull up to the boat ramp and dock, dropped off inflatable boats, and parked just a few feet away in the car lot without issue. There are two single restrooms adjacent to the parking lot for public use. We had plenty of space to blow up our boats in the grass. Friendly locals and the view is incredible! What a gem of a Marina for easy access to an amazing float!

Jim at wheeler marina is very helpful. His tackle shop is loaded with all the equipment needed for fishing and crabbing. He has boats for rent, kayaks etc. Very knowledgeable about the area because he has been here 40+ years. I will definitely be coming back to visit and was impressed at how even in the fall , being short handed with help. He is able to keep everyone coming in handled in a timely manner and most of all he is kind.

Took 4 kayaks out on the river and had a beautiful view and a great experience. The staff here are also super polite and gave us kind and prompt service.

My husband and I rented kayaks from Jim last week and it was the best experience! We came in the afternoon and he advised us that it would be better to come back a few hours later to catch the tide at the right time. He recommended an amazing local hike nearby that we could do in the meantime. We came back and he got us all set up with the kayaks and directed us on a 2-hour loop up the river. Absolutely gorgeous scenery! There was only one other group when we got there, so we basically had the whole river to ourselves. Such a cute, local spot with a very friendly host and great views up the river. We loved it!
