The helpful security man on guard duty at the entrance gave a cheerful account of the trail- from the fork if u go right it is a bit long but those who want cordiovascular exercise prefer the left turn- whetted our appetite. All along people were walking, jogging; the scenario changed for every 10 minutes; deers appeared at intervals; squirrels were busy with Burroughing and breakfast. Calm and quiet but for the occasional chatter of group/ family ; the panoramic view of the bay, the greenery of Stanford university and the rolling hills of the west coast have all made this a memorable n unforgettable exhilarating experience.

Nice paved trail but unlike most other places this one doesn’t have enough facilities like rest rooms or water.

An awesome trail with great view. About 3.7 miles. We usually go counterclockwise, starting up lightly. The clockwise version starts very steeply. The gates remain open to enter until 6:30pm (from March to ~Oct) and you must exit by ~7pm. We usually hike the whole loop (from the entrance door) in about 55-60 minutes.

Very nice place to walk or run. Fresh air and beautiful scenery.

Is it open now July 24th 2020?
There is parking across the street from the main entrance. All of cars are backed in with the front of the car facing forward. If you go on a weekend, you can park at the school that is down the street from the backed in cars
