Questions & Answers

With Serra St closed (it looks like forever) how can one access the center? I've tried approaching it form Bonair Siding with no success. Is there a secret route?

June 25, 2020 I called 650-321-4236 and was told the facility is closed until construction on Serra is complete. They suggested to keep calling back to find out an opening date as they cannot update the website.

Do you accept old monitors for recycling?

Michelle Balbuena | Aug 31, 2021

The office is closed to the public. Once they re-open, they will only accept from private citizens and not businesses. The recycle center itself, does not accept e-waste- it must all be checked into the office. Only cd's, dvds, cassette tapes can go into the techno bin at the recycle center.

that is considered e-waste so yes, once the office is open to the public then they will accept it. E-waste items are not to be dropped off at the recycle center on Serra but at the office on Bonair

Empty, open, dry gallon paint cans? If not here, then where? (from 94305 Stanford)

Keith Krehbiel | Sep 1, 2019
Julie Muir | Sep 1, 2019

Yes, open, dry gallon paint cans can be placed in the scrap metal bin. Stanford residents can recycle cans of liquid paint at PSSI's office at 339 Bonair Siding. Proof of residency required. If you live in Palo Alto, you can take them to Palo Alto's Household Hazardous Waste collection program. Everyone else will need to take them to their County's Household Hazardous Waste Program.
