June 25, 2020 I called 650-321-4236 and was told the facility is closed until construction on Serra is complete. They suggested to keep calling back to find out an opening date as they cannot update the website.
No. They do not recycle styrofoam... go ahead and place it in the landfill.
Take it to the Boy Scouts. They have an office at Lucie Stern Center on Middlefield in Palo Alto.
Yes, if you place them in a ziplock and on top of your recycle bin at home. your driver will take them for you
they are still currently closed but are in talks for re-opening. I suggest either calling the office or checking the website in the upcoming weeks
The office is closed to the public. Once they re-open, they will only accept from private citizens and not businesses. The recycle center itself, does not accept e-waste- it must all be checked into the office. Only cd's, dvds, cassette tapes can go into the techno bin at the recycle center.
that is considered e-waste so yes, once the office is open to the public then they will accept it. E-waste items are not to be dropped off at the recycle center on Serra but at the office on Bonair
no, that would just be considered trash
No, we do not accept any kind of bulbs.
Yes, we have two bins for corrugated cardboard. Please be sure to remove all contents.
Yes, open, dry gallon paint cans can be placed in the scrap metal bin. Stanford residents can recycle cans of liquid paint at PSSI's office at 339 Bonair Siding. Proof of residency required. If you live in Palo Alto, you can take them to Palo Alto's Household Hazardous Waste collection program. Everyone else will need to take them to their County's Household Hazardous Waste Program.
No, we do not accept batteries. Yes, we accept inkjet and toner cartridges in our Techno Bin. Should be in a box to keep residual ink from getting all over the place.
No, except electronic cables (see "techno-bin").
