Great hike! I quite enjoyed the signs, definitely the highlight, I will now beware of leaves 😁 It is a wonderful area and the lush green forests never fail to satisfy the eye. Unfortunately the main trail (Vine Maple trail) was temporarily closed. So we went off the other trails which would normally be super nice, however it had rained earlier and were extra muddy. Cool puddles though. I love the various chairs that also double as tree stumps!

On a sunny day in late April the parking lot was pretty full but the nature area is big enough it didn’t feel crowded. Lots of different trail options including some loops; ponds and marshes with a variety of flora. Look for trillium in April. The park abuts a paved regional bike/walking trail and a Max rail station.

Very cute little park with lovely walking trails that are very accessible. Recommended for anyone at any skill level which is great! I loved the nature! Saw some birds and some other creatures. Got amazing pictures of owls who came right up to us! Plenty of parking this time of year. Bathrooms on site were adequate.

It mandatory to mask up here so make sure you bring your mask along. Great place for a breather. Totally relaxes me when I was there. Since I am new to the fauna so into a another world I go. The fir really smells so fragrant. Sadly much of the trail were close due to construction now. Till Oct end then would reopen in summer. The bench would be wet in the morning due to condensation so bring something to wipe if you wanna sit. Saw some squirrel and it nuts. I came quite close to me. Seems like the animal here are not afraid of humans 🥰. A few ducks there. No deer insight sadly. People are running here as well. Pleasant place for a light walk. Nice place to sit down and have a picnic there.

Never mind wrong park no dogs at Tualatin hills nature Park it's a preserve
It was called St. Mary's Woods when the site was owned by the Archdiocese of Portland. It was purchased in 1981 by the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District, and had acquired its current name by 1984.
There is poison oak there and as long as you stay to the path you'll be fine. I've visited this multiple times and haven't gotten anything from poison oak.
No. Quote from their website: "The Tualatin Hills Nature Park is a wildlife preserve, so we ask that you please leave your dogs and other pets at home when you come to visit." http://www.thprd.org/parks-and-trails/detail/tualatin-hills-nature-park
Yes, on some of the trails, but not all of them.
No. The park is often full of kids and wild life. It is no place for target practice.
They wild. It is highly frowned upon. But it's a great opportunity for pictures 😊
4.2 miles but most of the loops are shorter and you can branch back to the starting point at several points
