My friend and I came here for 4th of July, as options are limited with most places being closed for the holiday. The hostess spoke broken English and was hard to understand, which should have been our 1st clue to get out of here. We asked the hostess if she had a gluten free menu, and she replied that if we wanted happy hour we had to sit in the bar, so either she could not understand us or just didn't bother to listen. So once seated we asked our waitress what on the menu was gluten free. She said nothing was gluten free. We asked her to please check with the chef because we were shocked. We have never been anywhere that didn't even have 1 gluten free option on the menu. Our waitress also had a thick accent and was hard to understand, so we thought maybe it was just a miscommunication. But she came back and said she checked with the kitchen and nothing they have is gluten free. She said not even a salad because the dressings have gluten. So we had to just leave. Its really sad that they can't even put 1 single item on their menu to accommodate gluten free diets, since such a large amount of people have gluten allergies.

This is the 2nd facility in have rated for them and I am now convinced it is not the location, it is the management. This location has its employees not caring. We waited 1 hour to be seated in a very uncrowded nearly empty restaurant. Bar tender unable to make drinksand argued with the servers. Servers were very inattentive to the table. Multiple tables were constantly asking other people to find their server. My server didn't know the menu and had to read it to understand. All the attitudes of the all...not some..ALL were very dismissive. I will not return to El Torito

The service was excellent! The food was adequate for the price. Bathrooms on premises and plenty of free parking.

After over a decade of not eating there due to the many unfavorable changes to their menu....we finally decided to give them a try once again and I have to say that they won us back. The food was delicious and the service was great.
