When deciding whether to dine at Owen’s, ask yourself 2 questions. 1. Am I in or near Nags Head? 2. Do I enjoy good food? If the answers are yes, then go to Owen’s. An absolute OBX landmark, they continue to please year after year, providing excellent service, and delicious dishes. On this occasion, Kim was our server, and she handled our group of 9, with 3 toddlers, impeccably well. I had the Carolina Jambalaya, (pictured) which is just as good as it was 25 years ago. The decor and ambience make for a special, unique experience, perfect for anything from a romantic date to a family celebration. Please do yourself a favor and patronize this local landmark.

Not sure why we haven't been to this place sooner, definitely glad we came in. We arrived pretty late and everyone was still pleasant and helpful. Food was exceptionally delicious, staff was amazing, and the atmosphere was quaint. There are very few places out here that it makes sense to pay the price you are paying, this is a place where you don't have to wonder. I got a pasta dish that was delicious and easily 3 servings. We watched other plates of food come out as we waited and none of them looked disappointing, I would have loved every single one. Douglas, our wonderful waiter, helped me choose the pasta and my friend got a dish with steak and shrimp on a pile of yummy asparagus with a serving of some of the most delicious mashed potatoes. My hubby got the seafood platter broiled and it was cooked perfectly with those same yummy potatoes and perfectly steamed veggies to accompany it. My kiddo ordered the kids leo with fried chicken tenders and shrimp, even that looked like something I wanted to dive into. We finished up with dessert, which was a home run for everyone. A light a fluffy peanut butter pie and rich chocolate mousse, both were home-made and amazing! Will definitely be coming back and recommend it to everyone who asks! Don't change what you're doing Owen's, it works and clearly has for a long time!

Prime rib, rib-eye steak, and Pan-seared tenderloin and shrimp pasta for entrées, escargot and lobster bisque to start, finished off with Key Lime Pie...order it all!!! So tasty!!! Friendly and attentive staff. Loved how everyone seemingly knows one another, seems like a true 'hometown' place to go.

An exceptional restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, that has been in business for 75 years. Our Hatteras seafood combo and mixed grill were delicious. The desserts looks good, but we were too full from dinner to try one. Service was excellent. There were many beautiful artifacts from years gone by.

If they are not go the day before. It is worth every penny.
Great atmosphere. Food is delicious. My wife and I would drive from Hampton to Nags Head just to eat there.
They are closed on Monday.
