Randomly found this on Yelp. I actually was looking for more a a laid back dive bar. This is anything but a dive bar. On a Friday night, the place was slammed. A great combination of locals as well as vacationing families. The craft beer selection is excellent. We sat at the bar and enjoyed great service. I ordered a Chef’s Special - Fried Pork chop and potatoes with gravy. The gravy was excellent. The pork chops were tender and juicy. The fried egg on top was a perfect touch. We also ordered a pizza. The pizza is decent, about a 7 or 8 out of 10. Overall a great night!

Nice surprise for lunch. Stopped in here randomly while driving by, read some reviews and saw some negative reviews, then saw the restaurants replies attacking them back and almost passed this by. Read a few more good reviews and decided to try it. The food was solid, pretty normal bar food, but I had a sandwich called "the Tim"...it was excellent, I could have ate another one it was so good. My shoestring fries were burnt but still tasted alright, and the fried pickles and cheese sticks were as expected. Friendly staff, priced just a scoch high but nothing terrible. If you like cheese steak give the Tim sandwich a try. I would recommend the lucky 12 for lunch.

Staff has impacted the experience. We always eat at Lucky 12 every visit to the OBX, this time it was clear that the staff shortage has impacted this establishment. The food came out accurately and within an expected amount of time. The waiter was either distracted or overwhelmed.

The pizza was delicious and the service was very friendly and top notch. We came down from King William, Virginia for a long weekend. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The music playing was 80's new wave - The B-52's, The Go Go's, Talking Heads, etc. Having grown up during that time frame, it was a nice surprise. I highly encourage you to visit here if you're looking to have some great food and fun memories. A++
