Today was the second time I've been here with the new owners. I'm a former member under the previous owners that left because it just wasn't fun to be there. I have to say the new management is top notch as well as the employees. It looks like they love their jobs and are very professional and friendly. I'm definitely considering coming back. Shooting should be fun, and today was fun. When we were leaving the parking lot I noticed a lot of cars and that's a good sign. When I use to go here the place was practically empty, because it wasn't fun.

No other gun range in Sacramento area can compete. Been going here for over a year and I love it. They recently changed ownership/management and it got even better. Staff is great, range is great and the gunsmith is super knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I have tried to buy a gift card twice this month at Sac Gun Club. I have been unsuccessful both times. I walked in today and it was like they didn't want my business. Their computers were slow and after 20 minutes couldn't do a gift card. All the employees at both counters were basically useless. No one took my info, and they let me walk out the door. I will spend my thousands elsewhere. If you cant handle the simplest of transaction I am not confident they can do anything else well. I would not recommend them based on these experiences. What a waste of time.

You didn't the last time I was in there. You had to have your firearm in a case and only get it out once you're at whatever lane you'll be shooting at. You cannot take you case and put it on the table in the back along the wall and get your rifle or pistol out to take it to the lane. You must remove it from the case at the line in your lane. Chamber flags are recommended but not a necessity if I remember correctly.
Yes. They have classes and qualifying
They do rent a good selection of guns at sacramento gun club. Cost is about $15, plus you buy a box of ammo from them. Cost of the range is $17 per hour. Most people are done in one hour so even though other ranges charge about $17 for all day, few stay long enough to make this a more costly place to go. Great range officers there will help you all the way through your first time.
You should ask for Kendall Jones for a beginner's class he is very helpful and patient and can teach you a lot
