While this Guitar Center still has a pretty good selection of products in all departments, the store is in a bit of disarray. While shopping the drum department, which used to actually be a real section in the store... not anymore... the inventory was a mess and products were laying all over the place in a disorganised state. I waited 10 minutes at the register while employees were involved in a personal conversation. Disappointing. This store used to be managed well but it seems like things have gone downhill. Just a little pride in your work and professionalism would be nice.

Ordered a guitar online Wednesday from this store and it still hasn’t been shipped. Guitar center promises same day shipping if you order before midday and I ordered before 9am. Shipping stated it would take 3-5 days to be delivered to me (I love 4 hours away) and we’re now on day 4 and it’s still sitting at the store. Talked to customer support twice and they keep telling me the store is “busy” and will ship my guitar immediately. SHIP MY DAMN GUITAR ALREADY. I’m about to call the store manager or corporate if my guitar doesn’t ship today. Absolutely ridiculous.

We visited after going to another local music shop nearby, and the staff here was super helpful vs. the uninterested and condescending experience we had just had. We went in to buy some drum cases, and ended up leaving with a new Yamaha kit as well after my daughter tried a few out and was able to get a feel for the weight and sound. (She's on the shorter side so the size of the base drum was a factor, for loading and unlaoding). Both gentlemen that assisted were knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and treated her like a musician.

Excellent Service, I ordered something online (used). Representative reached out quickly to make sure I understood some of the modifications that had been made to the item before shipping. Based on the modifications (which I would not have known about before being contacted) I made the best decision for me. The employee was excellent and the support from this store was excellent. Thanks for all your support.

I'm local, can you send pics of it to me with a price on it if you still have it for sale? Please let me know either way!
I would check eBay or Craigslist for beginner equipment
There's a place called Nicholson's in Folsom that have a large selection of violins and classical guitars/instruments. I'd take it there if I was you.
I can't answer this as I was a customer. I did see a section of the store that was behind glass panels and a door that was dedicated to lessons and instructions. I also noticed that there was quite a bit of things stored in the hallway.
If you call the store and explain your situation, they would be able to accommodate you. Make sure you have your order information so they can help you even faster.
I hear they are, but currently the one on Alta Arden is still open
Yes GC puts guitar strings on and they have a full repair center.
Yes, but it must have a serial number and be in decent condition for them to pay for it
Guitar Center is a rip-off go somewhere else
I know they rent gig equipment like pa systems and hardware but I don't know about instruments.
Call and ask
Wearing a mask and social distancing necessary to shop at Guitar Center for What I've experienced
Not sure buddy
Yes just make sure they have ID.
Don't think they "rent" anything. They buy/sell new/used.
They have a whole room devoted to acoustic instruments. Well worth the trip.
I think the last flyer I saw was $140 for 4 lessons...
Couldn't tell you...
Yes they do buy guitars there because I've bought several Used Guitars amps speaker cabinets from them it works like a pawn shop does they hold the equipment you sell them for 30 days before they sell it but I believe you get your money the day you sell it to them I don't think you have to wait the 30 days
That's a great guitar! I'm sure if they don't have one in stock they can order it.
