What can I say… this is my second time coming to Pep Boys in Fontana, CA, to get an oil change on two of my cars. Both times, associate Don helped us out and took care of us. I didn’t have an appointment at the time but he made sure to take us in and do the oil change. He also shared a coupon to get extra $ off. This time again he took us in with no appointment necessary and helped us on getting some brand new tires, which by the way, they were much needed. Got a great discount on them. I really recommend for you to come in and talk to Don or the other gentlemen there. They were great people to do business and the price was right on the oil change and the brand new tires. Which by the way they have buy 3 get the fourth free, which I recommend. Good looking out Don and crew @ Pep Boys in Fontana, CA. WE WILL KEEP COMING BACK. Also, thanks on the Pep Boys credit card.

I called on 11/18/21 to see if I could have my car looked at. It seemed to start slower and the battery light flashed the previous day. I went and my car was immediately taken back. I was told the battery needed to be replaced. The service was fast and exceptional by Andy. Unfortunately, the check out process was completely different. I was given the total, I inserted my card and the computer crashed. Andy told me he needed to restart the computer and the previous transaction did not go through. After a few moments, I offered to just pay cash. He accepted the cash payment and i left. Within 20 minutes my bank notified me that the credit card payment was pending. I called Andy and he asked for me to wait 48 hours and the payment will not post. 48 hours later the payment did post. I called and explained the situation, I was told Andy was not available and he would call back. I waited a few more days and I was not contacted. I called the credit card company and filed a dispute. After a week of waiting, I called pepboys again and spoke to the assistant manager. He said Andy was off he took my info and said someone would call me back. On 12/4 I finally received a refund of $254.41. Mistakes happen but I am completely disappointed with the length of time it took to correct the error and the lack of empathy or communication. The service on the car was exceptional. The follow through when an error occurs needs some work.

Call pep boys and ask them
Yes, it’s a Pep Boys Tire and Service Center with mechanics for your car but you can’t just buy parts or products for self-service here.
It’s not closing. It is open for an oil change, repairs and for new tires but you can’t buy parts or products directly for self-service.
It's part of the brake service I'm sure they do.
