I’ve been to the Hayes location several times and I’m still trying to figure out why this place is so popular. The food is not what I would consider to be traditional. It’s overall really lacking in spices and flavor. Every meal I’ve had has been filling yet bland. They’ve recently increased prices so at this point it’s not worth it to pay that much for simple rice and beans considering it’s such a cheap meal to make. If you are a seasoned traveler or are expecting anything other than watered down sub par Mexican than this place is not for you. The outside patio is nice however usually you will have swarms of house flies surrounding you. Overall the drinks aren’t bad and the cactus margarita would be my favorite. Cinco de mayo is also great here and they have a large band and tent set up and the place gets packed. Disappointingly however they didn’t play anything Spanish. My spouse loves this place however and is obsessed with the burrito asada. My preference would be three amigos down route 17 for slightly better quality food.

Ordered the new East L.A. Burrito, which is a Chilli relleno stuffed with steak and cheese. It has a grilled cheese piece the size of the Burrito draped over the top. It's the best Burrito I've ever eaten! Delicious 😋 Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and humorous! We'll definitely be back!

Service and staff was amazing. The new items on the menu are great. I highly recommend the beef brisket burrito. It was worth the money and had great flavors that went well together.

Great food (& generous portions,) great drinks, and great service! We went on a Friday night where it was busy, but still had great service. I had the tamales and my husband got the chori-pollo and both were delicious. We had some left over to take home!
