Had problems with my pontoon boat (that I bought from Water World in 2018). Took it to WW for repairs and a tune-up and when I got it back the nav light wasn't working and the motor (115 HP Yamaha) was running rough (wouldn't start and sputtered when it did run). The mechanic at PP (Sean) found out WW did not properly reconnect some wires (thus, the nav light problem), and also saw that the 2 plugs/screws for the lower end unit were close to falling out (WW supposedly did a lower end oil change). He also found that the spark plus were fouled (WW supposedly did a tune-up). Sean at PP was great explaining all the work he did and even saved me some $$ since I thought the rough starting/running was due to a fuel pump issue. Turns out it was simply installing some good spark plugs (Thanks for nothing WW!). If you want fair, honest and competent work done on your boat...take it to Poplar Pointe

I stopped by to pickup a battery and oil for my jetskis along with inquire about purchasing a Pontoon Boat. Kyle, who was working in the parts department said the salesperson was busy. Instead of having me stand around and wait for the salesperson Kyle took me over to the boat I was interested in and gave me an on board tour and answered a lot of questions I had. I was really impressed that, without asking, he took the time to do that. Thanks for the great customer service Kyle!

Rented from Poplar Point for the last several years. However, this year the boat had a mechanical issue within the first 10 minutes of our three day rental. Returned the boat and was advised that it's nothing to worry about and to continue using the boat. Later that day it was giving us even more issues and was advised to bring the boat back the next day in exchange for another rental. However, they did not have another rental available and we were unable to find a replacement rental anywhere else on the lake. This definitely put a damper on our family vacation. I do not fault the company for the issue as it was out of their hands. I am thankful that they provided me with a full refund and provided us with transportation back to our lake house.

I was apprehensive on renting from here at first based on the older reviews, but I can attest that new management must have turned things around. Overall, we had an excellent experience with our boat rental! Easy five star experience at a reasonable cost. Working with Kyle, we went over the boat and its uses, and he went into detail to describe to an inexperienced group of boaters on an unfamiliar lake what to do and where to avoid to not damage the boat. He was very thorough and very helpful. Our trip was a success!
