Bill's Marine saved my vacation. I had boat trouble late on Tuesday of a Saturday to Saturday vacation. I called Bill's Marine first thing Wednesday morning. He was fully booked for service (as were all other places around the lake), but Bill took the time to listen to a description of the issue I was having. He suggested a few things to check. I checked the few things he suggested, and something looked amiss on one of the things he mentioned (distributor cap and rotor button). I called and talked with Bill again, and he said what I found could cause the issue I was having. He had a new cap and rotor button in stock. I picked it up and had the boat running again in no time. It's a pleasant surprise when someone is willing to listen and offer good advice. The parts were not expensive, so Bill's Marine really didn't make any money on me, but the advice he gave was excellent and spot-on, so he's on my short list for my boating needs in the future. Thanks for saving my vacation!

Simply put....Bill and Bill's Team ROCK! I bought a used Mastercraft from Bill. The boat was exactly what Bill told me it would be. The boat is 6 years old, with that, there come some issues over time. Bill has encouraged me to reach out to him and call him when items arise. He's always tentative to my questions. Bill is solutions based and fair. I can't recommend these folks enough and when it's time for my next boat, he will be my first call. I'm 2+ hours away from his shop, yet, with a simple phone call, he gets me what I need, quick. The world could use more folks like Bill. - Mark

I dropped my boat off to Bills Marine to have my outboard looked over due to a loss in power. The service folks seemed nice and after finally getting the boat into the shop they stated that the carbs needed to be cleaned which I had just done two weeks before. No issue there, I very well may not have done as good of a job as I had thought. They said they took the boat out on a water test after cleaning the carbs and that within 15 minutes it was showing a different problem. They stated that they supposedly did a coil wire check on the water and found one to be bad. They fixed the issue with a new coil pack and stated that the boat was ready to be picked up. No new water test to verify (Hose Test). I arrived and paid my $518.00 bill. When I backed up to hook up the boat they had damaged my trailer light wiring. The lighting for my trailer bypasses the actual trailer lights. Mine are plugged into the truck as usual and run across my boat and are built to fit into the rear rod holders, this way they are more visible from behind. They were not setup in a way that you could not tell they were there, etc (Problem 1). I quickly went inside to let them know they had damaged the wiring and I couldn't leave until the lights were fixed. Little did I know that the person they asked to fix my light wires also happened to be the same person who took it out in the first place and damaged them and then chose to leave them that way- Seriously. The lights never were fixed correctly, but I was not a happy client and was ready to leave. Just before leaving I realized (Problem 2) that this person never put the rear trailer straps to the boat either. So they trailered the boat without my straps on and apparently thought it was OK to not use them at all.(Problem 3) After leaving I went straight to the boat ramp to do a water myself and I find out they also left my battery switch on from their water test days before and my battery is completely dead. With all of the rain we have had and the individual who water tested the boat left all of the plugs in except for the main hull plug so the interior bilge ran quite a bit I'm sure do to the rain we have had lately. Luckily there was a Marine Police officer at the boat ramp who offered to drive his truck down the ramp in-order to give us a jump. At this point I was not happy. I quickly called Bills Marine who showed little to no concern over this matter. I don't know for what if anything i would expect from them in return, but these were simple things that could have been easily avoided if a little attention was paid along the way. Boat still didn't run correctly on my water test. Come to find out after removing my outboard cowling, all of my coil wires were loose and not attached appropriately as well as one simply came off when i touched it. I re-attached all three coil wires, tightened them back on and engine ran much better. All together i found this to be a very bad experience. The fact I am told by Bills Marine that the person who they called out to fix the damage they did was the guy who tested the boat, loaded the boat and then didn't care about the damage he created to begin with makes for bad business. First and last time I will ever chose to use their services.

Adding Ballast and weight to the boat makes a larger wave. Also options like the Mastercraft GEN 2 Surf System using surf tabs will make a larger wave for surfing. Other factors are speed of the boat and depth of water you are in.
