Great quality food, great service. We ordered the Small Pork Combo and an order of Brisket with some drinks. If you have only ever had the chance to eat AYCE KBBQ then I highly recommend trying this place. The meat quality is much better, and the sides have much more flavor as well. I would overall recommend, but this will definitely break the bank if you go too often T_T

I give Kang Ho Dong 4 stars and not 5 because of the following: Negatives: - I thought the banchan (side dishes that come included with the meal) were the bare minimum. I’ve been to places that go all out with banchan that fill up the entire table with servers being very attentive with refills. - I was hoping for lettuce wraps and ssamjang because all the places I’ve been to offer that, but they had salad with soy dressing and another salad with spicy dressing plus rice and radish wraps, so it was a fine substitute. I actually really liked the salads. I’ve never had a rice wrap before, so that was a great experience. - It is expensive, but I was expecting that in LA. - The wait was pretty long, about an hour. We originally were planning to go to Quarters, but it was a two hour wait, so we just went to Lang Ho Dong. I’m glad we went to Kang Ho Dong though. Positives: - The quality of meat is superb. - The employees cook the meat for you. Some people might not like that, but I liked it. It reminded me of Benihana. It’s like a free cooking show! - The service was super fast. All the banchan and water were already set up by the time we got the table. - The ambiance is very fun. There’s loud mainstream party music. Other notes: The quality of meat was absolutely delicious! It was so tender, juicy, and mouth watering. The worker who cooked our meat cooked it perfectly. I was not used to the employees cooking the meat for us, but I actually like that better than us cooking it ourselves. I’m from Chicago, so this restaurant was very refreshing because it’s so different than what I’m used to. In Chicago, all kbbq places are very traditional, mom and pop stores. Loud hip EDM is not being blasted like it was at Kang Ho Dong, but I loved it. It was a vibe! I was with a few friends and drinking, so it was super fun! We got the large beef combo for 4 people and it was plenty of food for us. We were all stuffed. The kimchi jigae was also delicious! If you and your party eat a lot, the quantity might not be enough.

One of the very best spots to enjoy Korean BBQ! The salad is bottomless and SO GOOD! Try as much meat as possible to get the full experience. The cook the meat right there in front of you! All of the different meats need to be cooked differently so they cook them one by one and you enjoy them all separately. You must try the sauce they give you to dip the meat into...it is so unique and delicious! I would consider this a MUST try when in LA. Make reservations if possible. There is a boutique and convenience store right next door so if you have to wait, that is a fun way to kill time.

Let’s start with the good. The flavor and authenticity of the dishes were spot on. Speaking from experience, the food was flavorful and tasted like what my mom would make at home. Unlike my mother however, this restaurant did not care if I had a good time eating. The service was nonexistent, to the point where my friend had to cook the meat. We asked 3 times for more side dishes before they were delivered with less than what we started with. I don’t blame the waiter, but rather the system he’s working under. The restaurant filled out the outdoor seating before indoor, and we waited 20 minutes despite the restaurant being empty. For the prices they charge, I did not get my money’s worth eating here. What an unfortunate dining experience.

You can try during off peak hours. I have seen singles there before
I don't believe so. The vast majority of it has some sort of meat in it. I think maybe you could try to special order something sans meat, but honestly the place wreaks of cooked meat odor and your clothes will smell of it afterwards (from the smoke). I would recommend against a vegetarian going here.
no. first come firsr serve and the whole party must be present to be seated
I would say no. This place gets *very* loud (mostly because of the music level), so it makes it very difficult to talk with your party.
Parking structure right a cross the street,, expensive $$$ but there's parking.
30~1hr
