The ladies in the finance department are excellent with regards to collecting money for property taxes. However, with regards to collecting the transfer taxes and providing a receipt for payment is extremely difficult and there's no one to speak with that can expedite this process. Westchester County has three cities that collect a transfer tax Mount Vernon is the worst at providing a paid receipt in a timely fashion.

Very courteous, helpful people at main entrance. Beautiful building and extremely helpful inside offices as well. There is meter parking in rear of building but must navigate one way streets to get there. Otherwise, garage across from main entrance. Close to hospital.

Yes. They are working. As far as I know you do not need an appointment to see them. If you need a trash schedule they are ready and available for pick up.
