Great place for a peaceful walk! Morning noon or late afternoon. They have made significant improvements. Always kept clean and tidy. Bring the family and friends for a relaxing walk thru the woods.

Clean, cute swings and picnic tables. The chapel & covered bridge were cool to see. My daughter loved the friendly geese. Lots of squirrels, turtles, fish. Family friendly.

Amazing. It is such a rare find that in the middle of one of the largest cities in Alabama stands a mountain with such a beautiful offering of nature and tranquility. It is very well kept and so much fun for a family day. Take crackers or bread to feed the fish on the covered bridge and see the giant catfish come to the surface. The trails are fun and the little stops along the way make it so nice. If you like nature in a more relaxed setting this place is for you.

Nice trails, family and dog friendly. Easy to walk. The main trail is 1.5 miles which is perfect for the smaller kids. The lake is beautiful too. There are several trails that branch off if you want a longer walk.

No, only children under 16 and seniors over 60 can fish Monday through Friday with a fee ($3 I think).
Didn't see any fire pits there so my gut says no. There are picnic tables and seating so it would be nice for that.

I want to say there is a charcoal grill there near where you go in, but I cant remember exactly. If there was a place, that is where it would be
