Nice to have a drive-in although it's concession stand is in need of serious work.

Perfect! Two movies for $10 a person you cant go to the movies any cheaper any where else.. Concession was pricey but what movie theater isn't so that's normal.. This is one of the VERY few Drive-Ins left in the country. This should be on your life experience list/Bucket list if you are nostalgic in any way. Plenty of room in the front for children to play safely without interrupting anyone's movie. Just go, You'll love it!

The Iuka drive in is a quaint little place that takes you back in time where things were simpler and more peaceful and takes you out of the daily rush. Although in the middle of town and occasionally you might hear some idiot interrupting the movie by hotrodding thier car or maybe a distant train. Other than that its nestled by some words so you really dont feel like you are in town. The drive in sound is broadcast in stereo through your FM radio in your car or your portable radio...theres even a speaker outside the concession stand if you dont have either of those. I saw some hanging speakers for your car but I'm not sure if the few left hanging still work but that's good nostalgia either way. You just have to love the atmosphere and feeling of taking and sharing time with you family. They show 2 movies every Friday Saturday (9.00 per adult) & Monday $10 bucks per car. So they aren't getting rich by any means. I've traveled the 33 miles about 4 times over the course of 6 years but if I were closer and my work schedule and life allowed I would be there more. They have a quaint little concession stand with all your usual movie food, drink, candy, & popcorn. Outside food and beverage is allowed but the concession stand is the only way they make thier money and in turn that not only pays the employees but helps keep it open and improving. So please help keep this place alive by supporting them. Go and enjoy and keep this tradition going for generations to come. They just recently upgraded to a digital projector (tens of thousands of dollars) because film was becoming scarce. They overcame that hurdle which could have been the death of them. Theres always room for improvement. Thing like repainting the screen. Repainting or updating or refurbishing the sign..ticket booths and concession stand but none of this is possible without you going and attending a movie and contributing. So get out and do your part and enjoy this or any other remaining Driveins near you. So bring your car...your family...some lawn chairs...blankets and don't forget bugspray and have a wonderful time with the always friendly and helpful folks that work there. One side note they have a big grassy area down front where it would be great for some picnic tables eventually maybe.
