I was involved with the facility back in 2017. Andrew Staum was literally an amazing caseworker. He seemed genuine. While I had other issues going on with my case, KVC was easy to deal with and seemed to want me to succeed. I should have taken better advantage of the resources offered. The parenting class offered was actually great too. I feel like all new parents should have to take that class.

Some caseworkers are wonderful, but my caseworker AND her boss are both bullying me on a daily basis. I'm to the point of tears. I speak slowly and with a slight slur, but they both insist that I am impaired on drugs, including a false positive for pcp, which I have never used or even seen in my life! The caseworker then sent a mass email to my attorney, my husband's attorney, and to my entire family, informing everyone that I have failed a drug test for illicit drugs, and that she intends to write my false positive test results in the court report to the judge. The ua tests are very inaccurate due to several caseworkers not being able to read them properly, so do not trust them if you have to take random uas. Trust me, go to a licensed testing site. My caseworker refuses to provide me with a copy of the case plan for my children, so I am unsure of what tasks I have to complete before my next court date. I am deeply disappointed in the failure of service by KVC, and the lack of support given to parents. I once enjoyed being a part of kvc, but their abuse of power has left me feeling like I'm seen as a piece of garbage in their eyes. Approach with caution..

Well, how do I review this place. People who aren't going there because their child was falsely taken away from them would think its such a beautiful structured place. Myself and others on the other hand I'm sure don't see it like that. Its delightful when seeing your child but, miserable when you have to say goodbye. I will say all of the Kvc workers I have interacted with were all so nice and thankfully, I felt like they were pushing for me to be reintergrated with my child. A lot of parents have had several different case workers luckily, for me I had the same one up until the last month and I only had one meeting with her because the judge over ruled everybody and gave the orders for the 10 day notice to be sent out immediately without having a recommendation from KVC that they had already started the process. They had to scramble around immediately when normally they have 30 days to transition the case to aftercare.
