Recycled my metal here today and it was an easy and good exchange. A worker greeted me when I arrived and helped unload my items. An easy process and I would come back again.

Took #1 copper in, clean and bright. They called it #2 copper and ripped me off a couple hundred. Will never go to them again. They wouldn't even discuss this with me. Had my spouse take it while I was at work. Very disappointed

Went here first time today to recycle some tin and aluminum cans from my home. The service I received was friendly and welcoming. They did not make me feel like I was wasting their time with my 3 bags of sorted cans. THANK YOU!!!

Q1: Do you take brake rotors, calipers & pads? Q2: I have a couple of buckets of old copper water pipe and valves. Pretty sure the valves are brass, some with pot metal handles. Do I need to separate those? Thanks

Ray Christy | Aug 25, 2021
North Kansas City Iron & Metal, LLC | Aug 25, 2021

We take all the materials you have described. To get the best price you need to have different metals separate. So if you have clean brass separate from clean copper separate from the iron handles, that’s your best bet. Otherwise we have to buy as unclean material at a lower price because we will have to take apart. Always feel free to call.

I broke apart a projection TV and the three lens have copper parts to them Can I bring in the lens and you take off the copper parts?

Bob and Janet | Aug 26, 2019

I'm sorry we cannot. You would need to completely remove the copper from any other TV components before we could purchase the copper from you. Thanks for checking!

What appliances do you accept, if any?

Maggie Giamalvo | Aug 26, 2019
North Kansas City Iron & Metal, LLC | Aug 26, 2019

Most all major appliances such as washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers. Only stipulation is any item that has a compressor in it (so basically anything that cools), that compressor must be removed from the unit. Then if you drill several holes in the compressor and drain the oil from it, we can buy that separately. Cannot accept microwaves. If you have an appliance in mind that I haven't mentioned, feel free to call our office and ask.
