Very informative center about Alabama state. It has a lot of helpful information about the state and Alabama’s role in launching rockets. Highly recommend to visit this center.

Facilities are kind of old and worn, but it's super big and room with a ton of parking that is much appreciated by us truckers and it's easy access in and out. Great place to stretch the legs or catch a travel nap. There are some nice covered picnic tables and no matter how many times you see the big space rocket, it will turn you into a kid. You have to see it to appreciate the actual size!

Very cool stop! I drive nights so I have never seen this during daylight hours, however, it's still a very cool place to stop, rest and walk the dogs! The RV dump is out of service. Not a lot of truck parking. Quiet place.

Great Welcome Center. Located right off I-65 SB near the Tennessee-Alabama state line. There are plenty of informational displays inside the building and outside. There is a Saturn IB rocket and a Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Hundreds of Travel Brochures and Magazines for things to do throughout the state of Alabama and very friendly staff. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of two reasons: 1) The Men Bathrooms smelled. 2) The Building is very outdated and old. I did see a sign that said “This Rest Area will be replaced soon” so I hope the building will be much nicer and newer and modern soon, but besides that, everything is great! Great place to stop if traveling on I-65 SB to stretch, use the bathroom, and pick up brochures!
