Park itself was pretty good, parking areas and driveways do need work though. Possibly a revision to accomodate more traffic, or to better line out lanes or parking spaces?

I love this park. The mini walking trail around the lake, playground of course, area roped off for swimmers, boat launch, space to put up a volleyball net. My favorite thing is that there are benches on the board walk, so you can walk out and be right on the water sitting. Friendly faces and a good atmosphere! Today we went swimming in the lake. It was roped off for safe swimming. People had their inflatable pool toys, bbqs and music. It was a great day today 07/11/22

So many things to do here! Dual boat launch and beachy swim area. Stays very busy in the summer and desolate in the winter. Hills in the park and frisbe golf. My favorite it the bike path that crosses thru.

Yes and camping there to is open and they have a beautiful 10ml trail also very beautiful place to go.
To reserve a place for a party at the park just get there early enough especially if it's on a weekend.. and the tables that u want to use put balloons on the corners of them or something like that so nobody will say you didn't have it marked.
If you don't see BGA it's good to swim. Check the entire shoreline, and look at the quality of water. This has been happening for 50+ years and the last two years the health district has been getting data on the lake. You will be safe if you don't swim in the blue green algae.
Of course! There are dogs there all the time!
Yes and april is migration
Blue Heron Park is located about 33 miles from the Gorge In George. The drive will take you roughly 42 minutes.
Not bike specific trails, but there are trails you can ride your bike on ;)
Yes
They are pet friendly and I believe dogs can swim there also. It doesn't say dogs can't swim. And last Saturday I went and I saw alot of people with dogs on leash and with no leash. No one said anything.
Yes, but there's toxic blue-green algae right now & swimming isn't a good idea.
It's open year round, but the bathrooms are closed during the winter.
