Ever notice how many slang terms there are for money? “Scratch”, “dough”, “bacon”, “bones”, “clams”, “cabbage”, “lettuce”, and “bread” are just a few examples. Why so many? Does that even seem fair when compared to other words? Take “bread” for example. Why didn’t the slang authors create more terms for it? (BTW. For all of the bread lovers out there we dare you to list all of the slang terms you can think of for 🥖🍞 in the comments section below.) Well if your day begins and ends with bread, we’ve discovered a bakery worthy of your consideration. Whatever you do, please don’t insult Prager Bros. Artisan Bread by wondering if they “outsource” their products. Sleepyheads be warned, they produce their products on site each day so once they’re out, they’re out. Admit it. Some of you have a problem, don’t you? I mean you really…NEED bread, don’t you? Well think of this as either a bread intervention (or us enabling your bread addiction). If you plan your week with bread in mind then this place won’t be at all helpful in getting that monkey off your back. They actually post and adhere to a “Bread Schedule.” Heck, during our visit they featured 7 Sourdough options alone. In the words of John McEnroe, “You cannot be serious!” 🎾 All the “Bread Heads” out there should just surrender now. Resistance is futile. And that’s…Henry’s Take. I love the breads, and like most everything else we have bought at the bakery. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for your Almond Croissants. I have bought them 3 times over several months and each time I have been really disappointed. One time there was a very small dab of Almond cream and the other 2 times none whatsoever. So I looked up your description on your website with the idea that when you say Almond your are only referring to the sliced almonds on top, but your description says, "Almond Croissant almond cream - twice baked - too good to be true" A really good Almond Croissant should have a decent amount of Almond Cream inside, and I have found yours to have none or very little. If you have to charge more to put a decent amount of Almond Cream inside so be it. I would gladly pay more to have a good Almond Croissant.

We took a detour on our way to the beach to try this new to us Bakery. The breads are beautifully crafted and my favorite are all the sourdough products.

Lovely place for bread and baked goods. I stopped here and ordered the blueberry danish and thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn’t too sweet, which I appreciated and the blueberries were fresh and plump. I loved all of the bread options and enjoyed seeing it being made fresh. Be sure to check out their website for the schedule so that it can help you decide what to get! FYI, plenty of parking available and the Miche (farmers bread) comes in a whole, half, or quarter loaf. I got the quarter loaf and was quite hearty. I purchased one of the truffle butters in the fridge and it was rich and flavorful. They also have some cheeses and meats in the fridge to pair with your bread. Service was extremely helpful and friendly!

Hi Gillian, Thank you for reaching out. We do not make grain free bread. The mission of Prager Brothers Artisan Breads is to honor and restore the tradition of baking bread the old-world way. Most of our breads are naturally leavened using a sourdough starter. The wild yeast and bacteria in the sourdough starter breaks down the gluten and starches unlocking the nutrient rich grains and making it much easier to digest than typical store bought breads. I hope this helps.
Our specialty is our many varieties of sourdough, which is leavened without adding yeast. However, we also have some yeasted varieties, like the french baguette. Please feel free to check out our website. Or better yet, come visit us in the shop!
I don't think so!
I not seen there
They do not
No. (They may hop on and update this. I'm a regular customer and inquired when friends who don't do gluten were visiting. At that time the answer was no.)
Absolutely!
