This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. We've always been very loyal to this restaurant. This evening, we were rudely seated and tossed menus. We waited well over 20 minutes before the waitress took our order. And, then we waited again! While we waited, we watched others who came in after us have their order taken, have it brought to them and they ate and left. FINALLY, only after we asked another waiter to check on our food, our waitress brought our order! NONE of our food was hot. It wasn't even warm! Taco salads were soggy and cold! Chicken quesadilla was cold & soggy. I told our waitress that our food was cold & she says in a very mocking, sarcastic way, "You want him to make you a new order?" As I was telling her 'yes,' she says, "or how about he reheats it for you in the oven?" Seriously?? I can "reheat" food at home! At that point, we asked for the check. Waitress yells that our food hadn't been "sitting long!" Oh, I can tell you, it had been sitting long enough to get cold! Why would someone even try to serve food to someone that had been sitting out in the open for God knows how long...people breathing all over it & walking by it! And then to deny it when asked!! We won't be back. And the worse part is that I'm sure I'm more upset from losing my favorite Mexican restaurant than you are for losing a customer. The pics I posted show just how busy the restaurant was on the evening you lost one of your favorite customers.

This was sort of a last resort for dinner on a Sunday evening in Copperhill because it seems like everything closes early. The food was decent. Service was good. The food came out fast so that was a plus. We would eat here again.

My wife had a bean buritto and it was fine. I had a spinach quesada and it was pretty bad. Watery on the plate and had a very peculiar unpleasant taste. Came off the train to have lunch but won't go there again. Waitress was nice and not the problem.

Lucky for us, our first dinner choice was closed. That sent us wandering and we stumbled upon El Rio. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that Mexican food in North Georgia felt very sketchy to me, but paint me shocked; it’s was pretty darn good. Our server was hustling. She was worth 5 stars on her own. Food was good, plates were smoking hot, but the food wasn’t too spicy. We enjoyed a taco salad and a veggie burrito, both we quite tasty. We’d definitely return next time we are up. We topped the dinner off with a walk around the block and over the river. Ducks were quacking and live music just around the corner filled the air. It was an awesome evening fueled by El Rio.
