Very nice campground! Bath house was clean but no AC. Loved seeing all the wild life walking around. My only complaint is the land shark bar and grill not allowing orders to go. This made everything VERY inconvenient! Our bags were searched when entering the beach. We were made to take a bag of chips back to the car (not a very short distance). Then to find out we could not order any food. The restaurant at the time had a wait list to be seated, which made it inconvenient when you have kids swimming in the lake. I would also recommend somewhere to wash your feet off when exiting the beach. Also, the life guards were inconsistent…one day a water slide is available to the beach side and the next day it’s not, without any explanation. Otherwise, we had a great experience!

They updated their pricing to absolutely rob families that choose to go here. $40 to get in and park then depending on where you park either $20 to enjoy a tiny bit of the beach and the land shark restaurant or $55 to be able to access the whole thing. Place is a complete rip off. Also got our bags searched as my 7 month pregnant wife was told we couldn’t bring in any of the food we had packed. DO NOT GO!!

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!!!! I took 2, 9 year old girls to the water park. I saw on the website during the week the beach access fee was free, which was great since I can not ride anything due to getting motion sickness. We showed up and we’re told I had to pay $55 just to be able to enter the park with my 2 girls!!! I didn’t even have a bathing suit on as I knew I couldn’t do anything while there. The young boy at the ticket booth said yea they changed it this year everyone has to pay full price! I again said I don’t even have a suit and can not ride anything so I have to pay $55 to just walk Thru the door…… his response yes! As I had 2 girls with me I had no choice! I paid it…… it was not clearly stated on the website at all that this was the case and said beach access was free! We have had many disappointing experiences at the water park but this will be the last as we will not return. Also you may want to tell your life guards to get off their cell phones and pay attention!! One at the top of the slide just told the girls to just go as she was flirting with a boy not caring what was going on at the slide. When they didn’t understand what she said they asked her what in which she screamed at them I said GO and went back to flirting with the boy! Only to get to the bottom of the slide to be asked to why they went without being told!!!! I spent plenty of money today there with food, parking, ice cream, water etc I did not need to be charged to walk around with my children and not do anything! This is highly disappointing! It’s a shame to have this close to us but I just simply can not afford to pay $55 to walk around and watch my children! Employees are kids who could care a less!!!! Also being as it was very hot and you can not bring water in you would think more places other than 1 place would have water to sell!! And then they ran out!!! As I have said this is not the first time we had a bad experience but I just felt the need to let you know if you read this. Sorry but we won’t be back!!!

Pitiful what they have done this year at this establishment. My brother is a season pass holder his children are older and enjoy full use of the amenities so it’s worth the expense for him however I have two younger little ones who simply just enjoy sitting on the sand, “swimming” near the shore, and spotting fishies so we typically just buy a day pass to the beach whenever we are able to meet up with them to hang. This year they have sectioned off the largest part of the beach and closed off access to anyone who doesn’t have a season pass. The tiny small section of the beach they did leave is by where all the boats dock- loud, crowded and uncomfortable with barely enough space for anyone to have decent distance from others or the ability to even enjoy a fun activity on the sand. Truly awful. Worst part is they don’t disclose this information of changes when purchasing the tickets so this weekend I waddled my 37 week pregnant self with my two little ones down the steep steps to land shark, made a ridiculously long line to purchase access and proceeded to walk past the restaurant to meet up with my brother and his family at the beach near the volleyball area as we do every year to my surprise was denied access just past land shark area bathrooms (which were disgusting by the way because it’s the only accessible bathroom in that area now that people can’t access the bathrooms further down the beach). I ultimately decided to request a refund and go home. My kids were heart broken- cried all the way home but I just couldn’t bring myself to imposing those terrible conditions on my brother and his family by requesting they come sit on such a terribly crowed section of the beach just because. Sure I could have paid an additional $35+ per person on top of the entrance fee I had already paid but it just felt so wrong to pay such an obscene amount of money when my kids would not be using anything other than just the beach. Highway robbery for sure. Anyhow, lost $20 gate entrance, gas money and time but will certainly never be returning or recommending this place ever again under these new policies.
