The Comedy and Magic Club is a great place to enjoy some stand up comedy, delicious food, and have a good time with friends and family. Doors opened at 5pm and we got there at 5:30. Most of the center tables and all of the stage seats were taken by that time. Highly suggest getting there before 6pm. We shared some small plates. The pretzel was fantastic, as were the brussel sprouts. Drinks were okay. Some shows sell out ahead of time, but you can sometimes get lucky the day of an event and get placed on a wait-list. I would suggest buying tickets though.

I went alone one Sunday to see comedy legend Jimmy Brogan. His crowd work & fast, funny thinking was right on par with the kindness & attention paid me by staff. Though roof parking was full when I got there, the "roof emcee" was very personable & helpful as I queried for any parking advice. I knew there was a nearby parking structure, but going back every 2 hours to feed the meter did not appeal to me. She let me know that the center strip of parking meters allowed much more time, also accepted credit cards & were a good bet at that time of day as beach goers headed home. That was very helpful! The two fellows who checked me in were swell, my waiter was efficient & fast & the other waiter chased down a request he really didn't have to..... and both followed up. A female host checked on me & we chatted briefly. The two nearest early birds also visited with me briefly & shared reviews of their meal as well as previous nights with surprise guests like Seinfeld & Robin Williams still going strong at midnight despite the pleading, flashing lights of management. There are no bad seats, no bad sight lines but I was surprised when they offered the "balcony." Watching the packed house from behind & hearing their strong responses was a much needed respite. I missed the emcee's name (Del?) but he was very consistent & well written. My second visit was the next Sunday with a friend. We came early enough to park on the roof, ate at a nearby restaurant but still made it back early enough to be seated front row stage right. From the performer's perspective, only a few rows are lit but everyone had a consistently strong reaction throughout the show. Emcee Mark Schiff, host of the You Don’t Know Schiff podcast was a great surprise to see, Brogan killed again with his material sandwiched with talking to the audience directly. The ladies restroom was in great shape & the line moved quickly after the show The only negative was the prison guard demeanor of an employee sincerely focused on clearing the room & not encouraging stragglers intent on deeper lookie loo at the mix of comedy outfits entombed in the glass cases. Everyone set the tone for a great night of standup on both visits. And the headliner? Jay Leno is a true master. The kid is going places (& expected as a guest on Schiff's podcast soon, he just finished a Random with Bill Maher) Bravo to all.

This is a great place. Every year in July we go several times because they celebrate their Birthday and have several comics on stage. We visited the Jay Leno show more times than we can count. And continue to look forward to it each year. Have been very sad it was closed during our Covid periods but happy it has reopened. In fact we again have tickets for this Saturday. The food and drinks have always been great. A few times we even stayed twice to see the later show. We love this place.

We absolutely love this place. This is an intimate setting where you are up close and personal with great comics. Food and drinks are good and all for a reasonable price. Great way to spend an evening! Just be sure to get your tickets in advance....it gets packed.

You may purchase a meal ticket (see menu) and this gets you preffered seating for the show. I believe dinner seating is 6pm very nice FANCY or CASUAL and the comedy begins 'bout 9:30p. GREAT food (i filet) amazing time. HOPE THIS HELPS!
Shorts are okay, flip flops are not , anything but Beachwear
Wasn't aware pics were allowed, especially with the big stars like Jay Leno? Phones are not allowed.
You won't even get seats if show starts at 8. You can order through the show, but I dont recommend getting there that late. Seats fill up fast. Food is very good here, though.
It's not an open mike situation. It's always scheduled comedians. They are pretty great here. It's my favorite comedy venue.
Jay Leno is performing December 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Sorry Jim wasn't there Sunday but I'm sure if you call the club directly they can give you the names
You have to be an adult so 18 yes but no for the 15 yo.
They don't really take reservations, try to get there early if you want good seats
Very casual, no need to dress up if you don't fell like it. The crowd has a little of everything, from carcome shorts to dress shirts
I believe it can be both depending on when you arrive.
