We've driven by this restaurant many times over the years. So, we decided to check it out. Their is ample parking all around the building and you can access the parking lot from the street behind the front entrance. The insides has a very "home feeling" with seating going the full length of the building. The menu is full of fried or grilled options with meat and three, plus other options too. Service was friendly and fast. Good down home cooking and smiles all around. We will go back. Kind of a best kept secret.

Fried chicken was good although they only had breasts and legs, no thighs or wings. Green beans were outstanding. Squash casserole was dry and not flavorable. Chicken fried steak was made from ground meat and had a bad texture. Unsweet iced tea was like water and had a off taste - like mold or algae. Overall not good.

Usually i enjoy this restaurant i have been going for many years but this past Sunday was not as pleasant. The waitress was lacking and not helpful. She seemed very distant from our table and it seemed to bother her that my husband was of a different nationality. She brought out the food for the tables around us even though we arrived way ahead of some of them and when our food finally came out it was cold it was the meat and veggie plates so the food is already prepared there was no need for the lateness or frigid food. Like i said usually i never have a issue but this last Sunday has me leary now.

Came here for lunch. It was our first time here. Our server was Beth. I swear I've never seen a harder working waitress. Seems like she does everything in that restaurant and fast. Friendly people. The food was really good at a great price. Great variety of food. I had the ribeye steak. My wife had the patty melt. The sides all great. And the strawberry shortcake for dessert was delicious. We definitely will be back.
