OMG! I love this place. The rooms spaces are themed Egyptian, Dinosaurs, Mermaids, Pirates and Star Wars. Their selection of gems and rocks, would be a great addition for your collection☆ And don't forget to check out next door there is a ghost town cemetery

This place was so much fun and my friend bought all sorts of little things but I think the place is for kids and adults that know how to enjoy the old west and gold mining

What a great experience! We were told only one group was allowed since one person was working. Everyone was patient and it was fun seeing the smiling faces come out of the store. Once inside, the store was well organized and the worker answered all our questions. Our six year old had a blast "mining" for gems. The worker shared their knowledge and gave helpful suggestions. We appreciate their kindness. We wore our masks inside with no issues.

Small shop with a unique inventory. The themed displays are really creative and fun! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't get to check out the activities, but they seem cool. Overall, 10/10!

Questions & Answers

How much does it cost?

Francia Shaw | Aug 26, 2018
CamMan The Fox | Aug 25, 2021

Entrance fee is free, but to do the "panning" is like $10 I think, depending on what you do. Items in the gift shop range from a dollar to a couple hundred dollars. Little gimmicky.

Are people around there keeping socially distant and is the majority of people wearing masks

Hi Dan, Yes, we are very proactive on covid protocols. Aside from requiring masks, we provide hand sanitizer and, if you wish, gloves as well. We only allow a few guests in the store at any one time and they must be of the same family/party, no more than 6 at one time. We hope to see you soon. Meanwhile, stay safe and well.

How much time someone usually spends there?

My kids are older so we spent maybe 5 minutes wandering around the small ghost town photo ops. The shop had a lot of rocks which my kids like so they spent about 10 minutes picking out geodes and then another 5 minutes breaking them open. The panning for gold, shells, gems, is overpriced. You pick the package you want and then an employee pours the bag contents into your pan to shift through. My kids did not like this but they had been to an actual panning site before. Little kids who were doing it loved it though because they were guaranteed to get the treasures from the bag they chose. Depending on how busy the place is maybe 30 minutes max? They only allow 8 people in the store at a time so there could be wait.

There are different package you can order depending on what you want to "mine".

Gold Rush Mining Company Adventures | Aug 26, 2019

I'm sorry, you may be getting us confused with the Jeep Tours. We offer a variety of themed mining activities at our destination that allows you to discover different rocks, gemstones, crystals, by choosing a theme and then revealing the treasure by using our mining sluice, digging stations, or mine. All our items are mined from the earth and come from all over the world. We also offer panning for real gold as well as cracking geodes and prying open oysters to recover your very own pearl. We love what we do, we are very lucky to share the experience and excitement of discovering the beautiful gems of the earth and sea. Thank you for taking the time to inquire. We hope to have the opportunity to see you at our location.

Yes, as others have mentioned, all the treasure you discover you will be able to take home and keep. We have many adventures that all allow for a variety of costs. I am sorry, we do not have an on-line catalog to order from. If you wish, you are able to call the store and discuss your questions. We will be happy to send the product you choose to the address of your choice.

How much Money spend per person?

Ereny Alnahal | Aug 26, 2018
David DePue | Aug 26, 2018

It depends on what you want to do. About $25 per person but don't waste your time. It's more like work than fun. The staff there doesnt let kids have any fun. It says it's family friendly but it's not.

Cynthia Scoggins | Aug 26, 2018
Michael Lam | Aug 26, 2018

No, I didn't. I didn't see any signs regarding a $20 fee either. I did see a posted price list for the "treasure adventures" if you are planning to partake in one of the "special adventure" packages.
