I have been going to Dr. Ana and staff for about 8 months after not going to the dentist for over 20 years. I was traumatized as a child from a very bad, neglect dentist…. So I was litterally shaking walking in…we did a smile makeover schedule/breakdown to reach our goals. So I go in several times a month, and I’m so incredibly grateful for them… they are so flexible with my schedule and reschedules. I can not express how caring, understanding, and most of all- Gentle they all are. I never once feel shame or embarrassment, and I thought I would…. I have felt seen, heard and understood from the minute I walked in. And I leave there so happy. You will never meet a more loving staff who honestly, truly cares about the patient’s comfort and just overall experience than this team… My only regret is That I didn’t find them sooner….

Great experience there. Very professional and a wonderful staff. New up to date equipment. Dr Robert was terrific and explained the procedure I needed in detail and gave me a few options. Highly recommend this dental practice. Don M Escondido

I had a great experience at Citracado Dental Group! From the staff checking me in to the Dental assistant taking the x-rays and Dr. Robert fixing my tooth, I couldn't have asked for a better visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Robert took the time to explain how my tooth would get fixed before he started and I was out of the office in under an hour. Definitely recommend Citracado Dental Group!

Citracado has been an amazing experience. Like all healthcare procedures there are ups and downs so it’s really important that both sides are engaged, open and communicative and they are just that. They are warm and friendly and really give off a family vibe which is nice. They also are super flexible which is so important with repairing dental needs. I’ve had two emergencies from an old implant and both times they made time for me right away. I’m so indebted for their engagement, flexibility, care and warm atmosphere. I am having a little issue with sensitivity from a crown but they’ve shown me that they are committed to giving me the best dental experience I can have. The dentist is my kryptonite so I’m so happy they all work to make me feel like Superman!

Oil pulling, or the practice of switching with coconut or other oils, can improve gum health. Clinical studies have not shown it to be better than conventional brushing and flossing.
There are no clinical studies to support the claim that charcoal ingredients provide better tooth whitening than conventional teeth whitening products that contain peroxide ingredients.
The newest guidelines from the American Academy of Endodontists in 2019 suggest that most patients should not take antibiotics for a toothache unless there is visible swelling and the patient has a compromised immune system or cannot be seen for treatment right away. The best outcome is when the tooth can be treated as soon as possible.
Although it can vary greatly, a baby’s first tooth usually comes in around 6 months of age. All of their baby teeth are usually present by about 24 months.
A number of factors can lead to a foul mouth odor, including gum disease, bacteria on the tongue, a dry mouth, or tonsil stones. Regular brushing and flossing, including scraping the tongue, can help. Mouthwash that contains alcohol may make the problem worse. If symptoms continue, a dental exam is recommended to check for gum disease.
A dental exam is recommended once per year. Dental hygiene visits are recommended every 3 to 6 months, depending on the conditions of your gums.
A dentist can only see the outside of the teeth and gums and needs dental x-rays or radiographs to determine the health of the areas between the teeth and below the gums. A dental exam is not complete without them.
It is recommended to replace a toothbrush every 3-4 months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. When they are worn, the toothbrush does not work as well at cleaning the teeth and gums.
Flossing is important to remove plaque bacteria between the teeth and below the gums. Flossing should be performed daily for good oral health.
A dentist is the best person to determine why a tooth is hurting or if it needs treatment. An exam is especially important if a patient notices swelling, lingering pain to hot or cold, or pain that continues for more than a couple days.
There are lots of reasons a tooth or gums can be sensitive or painful. An exam or dental x-ray is recommended to help determine the cause. It can be from an infected tooth, gum disease, or a number of causes that are not related to the teeth.
Many insurances do, but every insurance plan is different. Coverage can vary greatly for dental implant procedures, and often the annual maximums benefits are exceeded. It is important to read the fine print on plan details, and a pre-determination of benefits can be helpful. Ask a dental office for help in determining costs.
A single tooth replacement with a dental implant often costs $4000- 5000, but costs can vary greatly depending on the amount off bone and gum tissue in the area. A consultation is recommended for more information. It also depends whether a single tooth or many teeth are being replaced and if dentures are being used.
We do have a variety of payment options available depending on the services offered. Please check with one of our awesome scheduling coordinators for specifics on your situation!
