Coin operated showers. Good space in between sites. Park rangers patrolling every 30-40 nights overnight. Clean facilities. 20 min walk from campsites to lake. Each spot comes with grill and park style bench.

I loved camping here. It was a perfect quick getaway as it is only about an hour east of SD. We paid around $40 for one day which included a camping site, fishing pass, parking, and pet fee. You need quarters to shower but the showers do have warm water available. I loved it, definitely looking forward to coming back!

Great little get-away for day trip, tent or RV camping. Hiking Trail along the lake was a fun moderately easy hike. Didn't fish but observed many fish jumping out of water as we walked around the lake. The park ranger we talked to said the lake was recently stocked with trout. Bathrooms, showers, and camp sites are well maintained. Lots of grass area for recreational activities.

This place is beautiful! I stayed here 2 nights and 3 day this year for the 4th of July weekend and it gets crowded!but still enjoyable. This place has great fishing!and has boat rentals be careful of the rattlesnakes!

Depends on they type of boat and the day. Rates run from $12-50. Rentals are lower during the weekdays and higher on weekends and the holidays. I posted a photo of the rental rates here on Google Maps.
We were just there and fishing was good
There are parking spaces available at trailheads to park.
You do need a fishing permit but you can purchase online for a day, week or year, with a couple other options, i can't remember.
Yes, there is fishing but its not very good since the lake has been so low for so long. They do have nice little boats to rent, if you don't have one. Pretty pricey on the weekends but not as much during the week.
Yes. Fires are allowed in the fire pit at your campsite.
A few sites can see the lake, but the lake is receded so far, the lake is far away.
Not on county property aka the campground. But there is OHV to the north of the campground in State owned property.
Fills up on the weekends.
Yes. Don't remember price exactly maybe $5.
Quiet hours are at 10. You know, because there are other people there too. Just basic courtesy and respect for others.
Yes they are
Do you mean your boat or a rental boat? There is no motor size limit. Seen giant motors there. But you can only go like 10mph on the lake. So no matter how big your motor you cant use it's full capacity. The rental boats get up to a little less than that.
Yes they will.
Last time we saw people come in after 8pm. Need to confirm with Ranger. Quiet hours are at 10. Fires out at 11.
If you're walking in from the PCT then yes. There's a special section for hikers snd you'll find simple instructions on the info board in that section as well as other hikers to help you out. Now if you're driving in, I don't know. Probably. What would the Rangers do, close thecgates and lock others in? What it they wanted to leave or make a beer run? I say go for it. As long as you square up in the morning I don't see a problem. Check the tent site for any type of reservation tag before you pitch. Have fun. Wish I was there. Had a great time last month hiking in.
They issue permits not licenses for fishing. Permits are free for children under nine years of age. The rates vary depending on age and day of the week. They're cheaper on the weekdays and go up on the weekends.
Make your reservations at the San diego County campgrounds website.
No there is no swimming allowed anywhere in the lake
Im not sure of opening times but they have a nice county website that gives a lot of info. Pretty sure its under San Diego county but can also be found under Lake Morena Park.
Usually daylight hours
It depends on the site but we have been with a 38 foot 5-wheel that had no problem getting into their site. Plus there is (#55?) a very long pull through. Monena's website lists lengths of each site and they are pretty accurate.
3,050 feet
Yes in a fire ring. They do time to time have restrictions. Call the rangers ahead of time to make sure.
You can find thr fees on the park website
Hi ,Yes if you reserve a space there is at least 1 picnic bench but not all spaces have them..we brought a few fold up tables for our stuff just in case :)
Regular toilets and porta potties from what I recall
