Let's set the scene - "Empty" restaurant with nobody at the bar. Walked in and asked for a table for 8. Was told it would be about ten minutes. My bride decided she wanted a drink while we waited. After about 20 minutes and way TMI from the lady behind the bar, we got our table! While walking to the table we pass no less than 7 employees doing who-knows-what. Rolling napkins, laughing and eating. Our server came and we asked for more chips, for the rest of our table, as we had rec'd ours at the bar. "Oh, yeah... The chip lady will bring some more out." That was where I knew we had chosen the wrong destination. This level of service continued throughout the meal that took 1.5 hrs, not to eat and enjoy friends and family, but to wait mostly. I have family in Rome, and they say it has NEVER been as bad as it was for my visit. The food was okay at best and the service was about a 2 star level. Salsa was delicious. Hopefully, if we do go back, the place is packed and if I wait for ev-ery-thang again I can excuse it in my head.

My husband and I are from Colorado and are picky about eating Mexican. We love La Parrilla! The food is delicious, the service excellent and the margaritas are so good. We even came back 2 days in a row, as the first day we were in a hurry to get to a film. Decided to come back on Sunday for Huevos and to relax. Thank you for everything- especially the table side guacamole- so tasty and fresh! We will be back often!

The dip that came with the chips was the typical watery tomato sauce. We had to ask for chips. My wife and I had eaten here about 5 months ago where I gave the restaurant a five star rating. Today, I ordered the same Super Enchiladas, which is one cheese, bean and beef enchilada. First, the menu prices have risen 15%, the plate I ordered was $9.50. (Previously $8.50). When I received the bill, it showed $10.99! I had to get a manager who told me this was a mistake and I was charged for the evening price. Hmmm…wonder how many people don’t notice this error? The meal itself was terrible. Not the same as I had 5 months ago. The corn tortillas were not cooked properly and were soggy under the sauce. The toppings were just dumped on top. The sour cream was a very cold lump that further cooled the meal. We definitely will not be returning in the future.

Was visiting friends in Georgia and celebrating a birthday , she wanted Mexican food and everyone said this was their favorite. Had the steak street tacos. The meat was tender and flavorful, the rice and beans cooked just right. Everyone had either tacos or burritos and all enjoyed their meals. Margaritas were good as well. Service was good. We ordered take out for someone that couldn't join us. And they enjoyed the food as well. Excellent bottomless chips and salsa . Mild and spicy were both flavorful . Ide definitely go back if in town. The decor is beautiful inside and authentic.
