Wish I could say the food was good. It smelled good. Drove an hour and a half to get here and when I walked up to the door at 7:30pm (half an hour BEFORE closing) an employee stood on the porch, blocking the door and told me they were closed. Very disappointed.

Can't stop thinking about this BBQ. Seriously! I stayed a night in rising fawn and had the pleasure of stumbling onto this little gem. I ordered a full slab of ribs and some pulled pork and I couldn't believe how good it was. I ate the entire slab that night (it was HUGE) no regrets. The staff was friendly and helpful and I got my meal fast and hot. Stop in for some of the greatest BBQ you'll have.

Found this place after leaving a state park. Thought it looked like a good place to stop & eat. It was a tasty place but my main complaint was the employees/owners. Didn’t feel welcomed and he was rude when taking our orders. No smiling & bad customer service. Prices are crazy. I’m from Florida & our bbq always comes with an entree, sides & a drink for $10-$12. This place was $10 for a drink & entree with no sides! We did sit outside since we couldn’t sit inside due to COVID. I don’t think I will be recommending this place to anyone. Yes the pulled pork sandwich was good but customer service was a No Thank You.

Marvin is locally known to be a Renaissance man of the area. His masterpiece is his 30 racks of ribs he smokes every day. He usually sells out of them, and I now completely understand why. They are the most tender and delicious ribs I've ever been lucky enough to eat. It's simply incredible. The baked beans are great as well, strong cinnamon accent that I've never had before, but it's a nice flair. All the meat is great but the ribs stand out as the centerpiece of this establishment. We ate to go but were so blown away by the deliciousness that we had to go back and thank him for amazing our taste buds. Seriously if you want ribs done to perfection I'm not sure you can do any better than the Trading Post Smokehouse!
