Great cave tour. I am glad our small group went in. A little more than I expected to pay, but the guide Briana did a great job of explaining the history of how the cave was found and the geology of it. It was nice and cool inside and a great relief from the hot summer day! I think it would be exciting to see a concert there. Perhaps they should have some special "bargain" days you can come in to see it. But the hour and a half tour was well done.

I had an awesome time at Cumberland Caverns. Shelby our tour guide was fantastic and so cool. The cave was nice and cool from the heat above, so that made it pleasant. Great workout climbing the rocky steps. Definitely go visit and have Shelby take you to an adventure down below.

This is a great place to go as a trip or to go when you are bored. The caves are amazing, has many cool parts, and is fascinating with it's natural formation. The guides are super funny, knowledgeable, safe, and explain + answer everything. (Shout out to Nick for a interesting and amazing journey we had today) There is a nice shop with cool geodes and some other cool stuff (to which I do not know the name of) It was a weekday, so it was not too crowded There are specific times when the tour starts, so you might have to wait a bit for it. For us, it was around 15 minutes. Overall it is an fun place to visit to see how caves are made and learn some funny historical moments of it. I attached some images

I first came here on a elementary school field trip almost 30 years ago. This place is truly amazing and should be experienced by everyone. We bring our kids every few years to see the beauty that this cave has to offer. Highly recommend and our guide Justin did a fantastic job.

The main tour took about 90 minutes, and was great for kids. If you call the caverns, they can walk you through all the options and recommend something that would be right for your group.

Disabled veteran with electric scooter would he be able to make it through?

Great question, Cindy. Unfortunately we are not rated as handicapped accessible. Our trail to the cave is gravel. However, the trails inside the cave are natural making them uneven and rocky, with steep uphill and downhill slopes. There are some areas that also contain stairs.

do i need to pay to visit?

If you wish to see the cave, tickets for any of the tours may be purchased online. Some tours such as the overnight adventures, daytime adventures, and VIP options do require a 10-day advance reservation. However, tickets for the hourly walking tour may be purchased upon arrival. We also have self guided hiking trails above ground that are free.

Can you enter for free? Like is this public land? I don't need a tour...

No. What she said. Because of the nature of the caverns environmental concerns you are not permitted to wander on your own. Very understandably so. The tours provided are very quaint and given by nice locals from the area. They gave us plenty of non rushed time at each "stop" to look, take pic's, and take in the scenery. Its a small hike, but well worth the time and walking to experience what the cavern has to offer. The tour is just long enough, but short enough for everyones effort and ability level. I believe they have more challenging skill levels of tours also. Im very glad we were able to experience it. There is a nice gift shop with lots of rocks and minerals take home sparklys geared twords kids interests, absolutely beautiful hand made jewelry, and other things to offer. It must be hard to leave with empty hands. I couldnt. Well worth the stop for a laid back enjoyable experience.
