If you enjoy a nice dinner with LOUD BOOMING MUSIC coming from the Kitchen then this is the restaurant for you! This is the FOURTH time we have experienced this loud booming bass coming from the Kitchen, tonight when I asked the waitress, What is that loud constant, booming noise? She laughed and said oh it's the cooks music. There is nice music in the dining room however the kitchen music overpowers it. It seems as though the cooks music is more important than actually ensuring your restaurant guests have a pleasant dining experience. We are not pleased. It's like a constant boom boom boom....!

We have been frequenting another Mexican restaurant in the area for years and truly enjoyed every meal, but I have to say we are extremely impressed with Casa Maya! The food was great and the service excellent! Chicken fajitas and enchiladas are top notch. When in Lakewood Ranch, this is my new go to. Delicious!

To begin with get actual Mexican cookers or good cookers . They have no Mexican drinks besides cerveza.. The music was ok .. but not traditional. The drinks are hot. I thought this was going be a good place but I left disappointed.the food was ok .. the chips with salsa was ok but you can Immediately tell it comes from a can ..they can fool people that don’t know about Mexican food. The tortillas aren’t hand made .. I’m very disappointed.. never coming here back again and don’t recommend you to come here ..there is a lot of cheese not even Mexican cheese it has sweet pepper even more then what there is to chicken

Stopped into Casa Maya based on the great reviews - but unfortunately, we were left disappointed. Ordered a jalapeño margarita and it tasted like cheap tequila mix and was not spicy at all. They brought us chips and salsa (which was a nice touch) but honestly it was less than mediocre. I’m a huge chips and salsa lover and I barely touched them. Salsa tasted straight out of a Ragu jar. I decided to get something small as the first two things disappointed, but wasn’t left impressed. The “chicken tortilla soup” was okay, but it was mostly tomato and definitely not a traditional soup. Staff was nice and attentive but based on the food..probably would not return.
