Nice parking area at the South most point where the trail starts. Only bummer was know where to use bathroom. So be sure to go before you get here. No access to water either. So be sure you have water with you.

If you have ever had the enticing urge to casually experience Florida in it's primitive form then this is the ultimate destination for you. Aside from the extremely nice, roomy, and up kept asphalt trail that lays way for this beautiful setting, the Withlacoochee State Trail offers it's visitors a unique map though the most beautiful parts of Florida's Natural landscape available to the public. Visitors have the freedom of choice between walking, rollerblading, bicycling, jogging, skateboarding, and so much more as they take on the miles and miles of scenic, peaceful and beautiful State trail. With an abundant view and safe encounters with wildlife and the occasional passerby this is the perfect spot for a family outting or even just a personal get away. My only suggestion would be, don't leave your cameras at home!!! You'll want to capture this trail to share with everyone!

Great trail. Started from Owensboro Trailhead. Parked our motorhome here. Rode to Ridge Manor Traihead and back.

Southernmost access to the Withlacoochee State Trail. No facilities except for covered picnic table area and a concrete pad for handicap parking. Northbound 301 traffic must U-turn to access the trailhead off the Southbound lanes.
