I came here to get me another therapy dog. The staff is wonderful and so helpful in my search. I did find a medium sized dog a girl, yes I did take her home. There is a foster program call the 'slumber party' you take the pet for two weeks and see if they work out. (Well in 2 days I know I'm going to keep her I'm going back to sign the adoption papers). I started bonding with her the moment she jumped into my car. She slept on the way home the 20-minute drive to Crystal River. In less than two days she clicked into protection mode. Yes I love her. I needed her as much as she needs me. She seems very smart and it's picking up my routine rather quickly! I say yes get a dog here! I first searched on Petfinder then I wrote the numbers down of the pets I wanted to meet. Is a very nice place to get pets! The last two pics 6-week update we are doing so well together Kasper my baby girl!

My boyfriend recently lost his Furrever best buddy, a min-pin named Jake 😢aged 15yrs (R.l.P.Jakey baby🖤🌈). Once he had mourned as long as he could bear, he decided this time he wanted to give his love to a rescue. He had a horrible experience at a no kill rescue shelter in another county so I convinced him to try Citrus county Animal services instead. This little guy was a mess of scared nerves for all of one day. He has now found his human in James & as Well as a brand new name! Aztec( Teki TeK) the poochie formerly known as Pistachio is such a handsome Lil boy & the best cuddle bug ever. Bonus* Teki fell in love at first sight with my chihuahua girl Nebby and now our lil family feels complete again💕. All my gratitude to the volunteers and staff who made this experience smooth, painless and fulfilling as I could have hoped for both my boys!

Very nice staff and helpful volunteers. Pens are clean. Dogs are taken out for walks. Very reasonable adoption fees.

Why didn't you check with the landlord first?
Stop breeding dogs when we need to save so many lives. Especially Pitts in Citrus County! Especially FL i should say!
check his records if you have them if not check with all nearby shelters like any place they would transfer too
Did u CK with the floral City vet clinic to see if they kennel? Their Dr. Kennedy is a minor marvel. Tho they may only do so for pets/clients.

You'd have to check almost daily,it's doubtful,but you never know... Gorgeous dogs...good luck
If u r the owner than u should have been given papers with all kinds of information.
In this season im sure they do, but if you want to check before you drive, call tomorrow after 10am
