I toured Sumter Place assisted living, and spent many meetings here with Carole Carter for possible placement of a family member. She was the best, very thorough and patient with all of my many questions. The facility is light, bright and modern. If you have cause to consider Sumter Place I highly recommend you ask for Carole and you'll get first rate assistance! A.S.

Got to visit my great, grandma. She was doing activities such as horse racing and dancing to music. My g-gma was so happy. Thank you Sumter. I had no idea that assisted living was fun like this.

My mother lived in the independent living side for two months. It was not nice enough to justify the high cost, which was around $4500/mo plus the fees. The main complaint is the inadequate staffing, notably for the dining services. Staffing is an issue throughout The Villages, and the other equivalent places likely have the same problem. Another issue is that the transportation van has limited service hours and it needs to be scheduled two days in advance. The lack of a nice balcony was also a factor. The TV service included in the rent is basic, and the wifi is unreliable. The rooms have unlevel floors, so furniture needs shims. Positives are that the lease is month to month. She moved to regular apartments, The Lofts at Brownwood, which are $2000/mo cheaper. For people needing transportation services, these can be provided by people working on the side. Multiple companies in the area provide services like running errands, such as Comfort Keepers. If you want meals provided, a solution is to live walking distance to a grocery store or restaurants, or use a service like InstaCart, or DoorDash.

I have been working here at Sumter Senior Living for two months now but in Senior Living for 3 years. There is a vibrant new culture that is being set into place here at Sumter Grace management has totally revamped all 3 care levels of our campus from the time they arrived in august and even more acceleration in 2021. Many veteran caregivers are excited for the future and we have retained those staff members who are all in for creating positive life experiences for our residents.

How much one bedroom and is their a waiting list
Same amenities but I believe you pay an up front fee instead of monthly like homeowners.
There are 3 levels of care at Sumter Grand;. Independent, assisted living and memory care. The amount of care you need determines which building you live in. There is nursing and other help in all but independent living.
