Stayed here because the other hotels were booked. It’s weird from the beginning, the different buildings, tight parking. Made me think of the hotels the county pays people to live in. The rooms are dated and had the smell to go along with that. Whatever though, it looked clean upon entering the room. Then we went into the bathroom. Mold all over the ceiling! To top that off, we had a cockroach on the wall… where there’s one there’s more! We didn’t see that until the next morning, and it wasn’t a palmetto bug! Should be $65 a night, not $150. Will never stay here again or recommend to anyone!!

Nice pool and hot tub with harbor view. Rooms have mini fridge with separate ‘real’ freezer. Rooms clean. Manatee tour on site (Uncle Mike’s) making early tour booking easy. Good variety of breakfast items. Ample parking. Restaurant close by.

Planned to stay 12 nights but left after six. Our original room was on ground level (ambulation needs) but water leak in ceiling forced us to stay in "1st floor" room in another building. There are 8 large steps to get to this first floor. Also, walk from room to breakfast was long. Nice breakfast for a hotel. Room was not comfortable or very clean and bathroom sink is part of sleeping area. Place needs remodeling badly. Desk staff was nice.

We stayed in the mini suites for 3 nights. Most of the staff deserves more stars but overall experience felt pretty gross. I heard the other rooms were better, but ours felt moldy, musty, and dirty. Our bathroom sink wouldn't drain. I informed the front desk but nothing was done about it. The kitchen sink was helpful and nice to have. No tubs in the mini suites rooms, only showers. Which was harder for us with little kids. My impression overall was that this place survives because of its location, but the staff were quite friendly as well.

No, they are gas propane grills, don't know what Scott is talking about, we just returned from there...
I just stayed there. Very, very nice and clean.
I went to a wedding at the plantation it was a beautiful outdoor wedding.
Theres actually one room one the second floor that I stayed in. Its window view is of the water and its at the end of the breeze way so thats your balcony, the only one closest to the water! 😍(Can see>> You're right at the pool, water and right behind and you is bar/resteraunt(feets away)! BEST VIEW AND GREAT ROOM!! I'll check and see if I can get the room number for you! I got in my car one weekend and for a get away alone and drove for about 12 hours not knowing where I was gping to go and end up at Crstal Lake. I put the closest clearest clearest water around me and I was 20 min from Crystal Lake and it was already 11pm, come to find out when I get there was "The Stone Crab Jam" event that weekend. So every hotel I stopped or called was booked. :( I called Best Western and the nicest gentleman answered, he's security but also works late night check in. I can't recall his name at this time (my memory is terrible) but he was the kindest from the moment I spoke with him on thw phone
