Decent for a McDonald’s. Not my first choice of food but I was out of town and the kids wanted a fast breakfast. Service was good enough. Place was clean. About what you’d expect from a McDonald’s.

The McDonald’s Restaurant in Crystal River serves up a selection of food and beverages consistent with what you’d expect from this international chain. More than that, though, this restaurant also brought a lot of joy to my dad, Julian Williams, who looked forward to a breakfast of a Sausage McMuffin, Oatmeal and Senior Coffee - and the same, only omitting the Oatmeal and adding a Soft Serve Ice Cream for supper. This restaurant is (or was - their operations had to change in response to the pandemic) a popular gathering spot for locals. Everyone knows and greets one another, joins others at their table, and enjoys the great coffee and kind attention of staff. I have heard the owner praised by patrons and staff for her generous community giving and celebration of staff personal milestones (graduations, engagements and such). The restaurant hosts lively after-school events for students and their families. It’s good to see how much a part of the community the restaurant, management and staff are.

Could not get anyone to wait on us, the cook literally stood at the front of the food line and stared at us but never spoke. They had 1 self serve kiosk open to take your orders but the line was about 3 people deep and quite honestly I prefer to give my order to a person. So I left and went across the street to Wendy’s. They took my order at the counter, no problems.

The drive thru line is ridiculous. Two lanes, one is always closed. Lobby closed intermittently (either due to understaffing, or cruising when school lets out). Wait time for curb side can be a little longer than typical McDonald's. Staff is usually very friendly. Food seems fresh most of the time. Order accuracy above 90%.
