Making the decision to meet with Nik and Kristin was a tough one, as I'd always viewed bankruptcy as something that other people did who had spending problems or were looking for the easy way out. Perfectionist overachiever that I've been my entire life, I prided myself on having excellent credit and never asking for help, no matter what crisis life threw at me and how much I started to drown in debt.
