When I spoken with Steve from Chang & Diamond, I was embarrassed, anxiety ridden and severely in debt. The short answer is immediately, the long answer is...it simply depends upon your circumstances. Generally, the more money you earn and the less expenses and unsecured debt you have, the better risk you become.
Once you retain our firm we advise you to refer all of your creditors to us.
Generally, chapter 7 helps you to discharge all of your unsecured debt. Chapter 13 allows you to re-structure your obligations and pay at a rate you can afford.
