I've been waiting about ten days to talk to anyone about test results. I've been calling every other day and have unfortunately been told that the vet is busy with other patients. The receptionists are kind and I don't want to be calling them everyday asking the same question. I just want to talk to someone about test results and I'm having a hard time understanding why it's taken ten days.

Been going here for a little over 2 years. Always a professional atmosphere, open communication, and respectful to our dog. Our dog was neutered there and they did a great job. Called with updates to keep us informed. We will continue having they be our Vet.

Some of the issues I faced may be attributed to the sheer number of people that use Banfield. Getting an timely appointment is very difficult, so if your pet is having a persistent issue, or something that comes and goes, this is very frustrating. I greatly dislike the fact that most appointments are “drop off” appointments, during which my pets have to remain at the office in (I assume) kennels for most of the day, alone and afraid they’ve been abandoned. This is so that the vet can sneak in and do visits with pets between actual appointments? I understand this is their way of being as efficient as possible, considering the amount of patients they have, but perhaps the solution is more clinics and more vets, not continuing to take on more patients when you cannot give quality care. Otherwise, they’re friendly, they do their best to explain costs and give you options before they charge, and have adjusted prices when I wasn’t satisfied with the care. Just not the ideal situation if your pets get separation anxiety or vet stress.

Dr. Phillips and staff were amazing. My 9 year old pomchi injured his foot on a Sunday at 10am and I couldn't get any animal hospital to see him. I called a few locations but this one was able to squeeze him in. I felt like the exam and treatment was fair. They asked my thoughts before doing any treatment and gave me options and pricing upfront. He was in a lot of pain so I am so grateful they were able to see him. Im sure they got some beyond adorable photos of him all doped up too.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 25, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
