This section of the Oregon coast is worth the time to explore. Each pullout offers new, fantastic views of rugged coastlines, rock arches, land bridges, and coastal forests. There is a multitude of trails to explore as well. One of the best stretches of 101.

Would not recommend. We went to the natural bridge and definitely not worth the 6 hour drive. Can’t get anywhere near the actual area just on a look out landing super high up. Even hiking down it’s extremely muddy and dangerous right at a cliffs edge with nothing but ocean hundreds of feet down to your death. We took about 3 different trails and none lead us closer just a maze through overgrown prickly bushes and mud that felt like quick sand. Also it you type in “Samuel H boardman in your GPS it does NOT take you directly to the natural bridge you have to keep driving for quite some time before you find it and still that wasn’t easy. Would not have drove this far if I had seen a review like this I would have know what to expect.

Questions & Answers

What is the nearest pubic campground to the park?

Harris Beach State campground is the only one as far as i know. It's really nice. So state campgrounds are nice in Oregon. As mentioned above, it's just a tad north of Brookings on the 101. It's on the west (ocean) side of the highway.

Would i be able to fly my drone here? Trying to take videos of the scenery in Oregon Thanks

Yes, you can. There aren't any "no drone zones" that I'm aware of. However, be aware that there are large populations of sea gulls, eagles, and hawks that might see your drone as a threat and attack it, especially during breeding season. Be cautious if flying over water.

Thank you. I booked a hotel in Brookings @ .03 mile from Ocean. I should've asked them @ easy path to the Ocean. I'm bringing my 18 year old "puppy", Buckaroo Whippersnapper. She's never been to the Ocean. We will stay 5 days, know she will love it! She loves staying in nice hotels with the big ceramic spa & bubbly bath! She's not spoiled. Hahaha.Thank you, ladies.
