They do not listen to your requests and simply do what they want. They also pull the hair too tight. When prepping the hair they are not gentle they are very rough. I have never seen them disinfect a comb before they use it on my hair. I am not returning and not recommending.

Mariette Braiding could be a nice establishment l, Howe they are not welcoming when they guest arrive they are more like “stuck or shock” when you walk in as to say why are you here, we’ll I’m here because I made an appointment on your booking website and they have no clue that the appointment was made because no one is following the appointments. They were short handed today March 27, 2022 and lost a lot of customers because it, but people are still booking on your website. 🤔 Why not take a moment and check the site. Secondly, I explain please do not make my braids tight every half a moment I have to say that’s too tight. Next you have new customers and your going to pull out the most wrinkles packs of hair that’s leftover from however long along, when I ask about it they catch an attitude, you giving the client next to me new packs of hair and now the client that came In 4 hours after me… You Best To believe it they gave me new packs too! That’s not how you treat new customers that are not regulars. This shop needs help to grow in the business, hire a English speaking person to help with your clients let’s start there. Only one person speaks English in the shop At the time. As for the braids over they seem to be okay/ nice and I excited NOT! Base off of the customer Service alone. I will think long and hard if I will be returning they need to build their customer Service skills first and foremost because if I’m paying my $$$$ You Best to Believe it Baby I’m Speak up on what I like and dislike immediately. The young braiding skills seem to be okay… she moves quicker than Other lady. However, two were working on my head too ( I hate)., but someone came in and needed there hair wash and that lady washed and blew dry her hair but, didn’t know how to make the dryer hotter. The girl in the chair was nice enough to show her. I’m saying the shop is set up Professionally for the most, but their customers service is a thumbs down 👎 overall they need a huge help in this area! Well it has been an up And down experience for me. I like to support this shop, I will consider it again and hopefully it with be tje Fantastic experience it should be. When they answer the phone it’s the same way hesitation like “why?” Are you calling….. well that’s my thoughts. My fist experience I was still being generous with 3⭐️⭐️⭐️

So I set a hair appointment to get micro braids. I was going to get them for homecoming which was going to be the next Saturday. So I made the appointment and asked if they were available for Sunday. On the public schedule it says that it’s closed but they said they would be available. The style I was going to get take hours to finish so I had to come in at 8:30 A.M. The shop looks rundown, the roof looks like it was broken into, the road your supposed to park in was horrible and it wasn’t even a parking space if I’m being completely honest. Even though everything looked pretty bad….I still decided to give the shop a chance. But when I got out of the car and made my way to the door….no one was in salon. The hair dresser was no where to be found. And my mom had her number so we kept calling her and she never picked up or showed up. So I never even got my service that I was promised. And the salon was really run down. So I would highly suggest not going to this salon if you have an event to go to or need to go somewhere important.

I called to schedule a braid appointment, I was quoted $200 for micro braids, I told them that was too much and she asked me how much do I usually pay. I told her $180. She said OK will do it for that price. Once I arrived I had to wait a bit for someone to show up. I didn’t really look thoroughly at the braids until I got home and that’s when I realized what a mess it really was. The braids are all different sizes, the knots made The rest of the hair tangle, but I was on my way to a vacation trip the same day. These photos are exactly one week and a day after initial style. Micro’s usually last anywhere between 1 to 3 months depending on hair and style…Even though these are twice the size of micro braids. I should have read the reviews before coming because They all are similar to what I’m experiencing. I’m not even mentioning all the other small things that many of the other issues reviewer’s have in common. This is a lesson learned!!!!!!! Never again!!!! When I came to complain the young lady wouldn’t even give me her name..

If you text a picture of the style you want they will give you a quote. I did not see a shampoo bowl when I got my hair braided, you need to come with your hair washed and dried.
